rumor has it there is a gentleman who rebuilds the dimmer switches on the dash? maybe i could do it myself? i have to imagine its just taking some contact cleaner to the rheostat? or maybe i am over simplifying things a tad - i tend to do that a lot. hence my bright idea... "lets rewire my car!!"

i think you may be right. in the attached photo there is a portion of the frame that is visible that i feel should not be. However, if you look at the photo you provided above i think it may be visible there too BUT the shadow is hiding it. im going to leave it alone. it is a little unsightly...
