This wire is not reading anything.

I check the continuity for the wires that run to the voltage regulator. The negative fieldwire is not reading at all. The battery wire and the positive field were is good.

It's a 71 Dodge Polara.

I have a multimeter. But idk what setting to run it on. Keep wants to start burning up on me.

I just had my alternator looked at the other day. It tested good on a bench test. When installed on the car it is reading low. 11.6 volts. I bypassed that amp gauge under the dash. I put on a new VR. New battery. New battery cables. The car will run if jumped. But if you shut it off it wont...

Your saying someone could of put those wires together. Making it inoperable.

This problem started this summer. Before this I did not have problems.

I unhooked the voltages regulator. And the voltage did not go up.

Its reading 11.6 Volts. I replaced the VR. Maybe the replacement is junk? My ammeter stays in the middle as well. Ive never seen it move around.

.Im having a issue with my battery not charging. My ammeter gauge only sits in the middle. I have a 1971 Dodge Polara. I believe the alternator is a 60 amp. What size fusible link should i use an also the wire.

Just went outside of St. Louis to go pick up a remote mirror and Windshield last Friday. It came off of a 72 polara sedan. Installed the new mirror a few days ago. Windshield I'm planning to put in next week.

Is this still available. Also I have a 71 Dodge Polara Custom Sedan. Would this work on it?

The remote cable is broken as well. I just want to replace the whole thing. I'd like to buy it if it's still available.
