Convertible top rear tack bow staple size: 1969 Fury

Does anyone know the correct size of the staples to use above the rear window tack bow on a 1969 Plymouth Fury? Mine are coming out, and measure 5/16" crown, and 1/4" length, but that doesn't mean they are correct. I know I need to use stainless steel staples. Thanks.

    Jack / Stand Advice

I don't apply the e-brake, since that is applied only to the rear wheels, and the rears are locked by the automatic trans being in PARK, or on stickshift transmissions probably in reverse position. If I'm jacking up the rear, then I chock the front tires, yes.

    Jack / Stand Advice

I jack up the front end using the k-member(crossmember) just high enough to put the jackstands under the frame just behind the front tire area of the frame. Don't use the floor, or the oil pan to raise the car! Then I try a reasonable push of the car sideways to make sure that the car is...

    1965 Fury 318 Poly to 1969 440 swap how-to?

Thanks for the reply. Last time I talked with Schumacher, they didn't have it. It's not a typical v-8 to v-8 swap, because of the 1965 c-body "special" driver's side one-year only motor mount.

    1965 Fury 318 Poly to 1969 440 swap how-to?

Hello. First thread question. I know it's been done before. I'm planning on swapping out my 318 poly for a 1969 440. I just want to know what the motor mount details are, as the 1965 C-Body mounts were "special". I'm not concerned about other swap details, please. Rockauto lists the same...

    Rearend third member swap

Have a 1965 Fury, 741 rearend. Want to swap out the 2.93 open, to a 3.91 limited-slip which is also a 741 style rearend. Is it realistic that the axle seals will still seal after the swap, or should seal replacement be obvious? Thanks.

What carb to fit 57 poly intake?

1957 manifold proven solution Rusty, I know what you are talking about. I have a 1965 Fury, 318 poly. I, too have a factory four-barrel manifold from the late 50's, or early 60's. To make it work on our mid 60's cars, I had my machine shop(Auto Machine in St. Charles, IL, $150) hog out the...
