Needless to say the crank was rusted a bit so I could only partially turn it. So I rednecked it and hit each piston with a 2lb hammer, got that loose and now I have the flex plate of the old engine unbolted with the old tranny on stands still in the car. Today I'm hoping to get the old engine...
Over the past couple days I finally went and hooked up my air compressor to make life easier so I got my old heads off. Now I can use the bolts and a chain to lift the engine then I ran into the bad news My old block had water trapped in it.
Tomorrow I hopefully can get a new stand for that engine I should also be able to take the old engine out and Saturday will be the moment of truth of my first engine swap
My update for today good news my new engine i got for the fury I got it taken off it's busted transmission bad news my stand i had for my engine broke cracked right as I set my engine on it so i have it stuck on an old truck tire for the night until I can get something else
I just bought a 1967 Fury with pretty much no engine she just has the bottom half and a good transmission. So I guess I will make this my build page since I am a complete virgin at this. I will try to update it every time I work on it, If I remember that is. That is all for now.
