    440 TNT rebuild

What brand lifters do you guys recommend to use with Comp 268/280 Lift .477/.480? Reading many horror stories about wiped cam lobes probably due to poor Comp lifter quality. Thanks.

    440 TNT rebuild

On 440source website they are stating that Comp cam .477/.480 (CL21-223-4) uses single valve spring but CompCams states double spring (911-16) are needed. Therefore, I would lean towards ordering double spring Stealth heads that already have needed 10 degree retainers, but there is difference in...

    440 TNT rebuild

Assuming using L2355F30 with 2.061 CH and head gasket from Source with .051 compressed thickness to get the quench of .040 the deck has to be milled .032. Seems to me like it is too much milling? Is there another option besides custom made pistons? Thinner soft gaskets for aluminum heads? Thanks!

    440 TNT rebuild

Thanks everyone for the replies, you are very helpful. I was just quoted cost of heads rebuild and it is higher than Stealth heads. So I'm thinking of going with them. My problem is, I need to order every part together because of shipping costs. First step should be to deck the block, then...

    440 TNT rebuild

I was talking about 91 US pump octane fuel on which engine was either low on power or pinging when playing with timing. I then switched to 93 US pump octane fuel but did not have time to try the difference because freeze plug started leaking so I pulled the engine out for work during winter...

    440 TNT rebuild

Hello everyone. I have my stock, 1965 made 440 with 516 heads in machinist shop for rebuild. It needs 0.030 over pistons and I would also like some "lopey" cam in it. My '66 Chrysler 300 is a cruiser driven on 91 US octane fuel (95 is available). Can you please recommend suitable pistons (brand...

    440 TNT Production numbers

Thanks! There are quite a few fuselages in neighbouring country Czech republic, but not so many slabs. I think my 300 is the only 66' 300 in Slovak republic. There is one 1966 New Yorker that I know of and thats it!

    440 TNT Production numbers

Hello. Just wanted to introduce myself here as a new owner of this Chrysler 300 1966 440 TNT in Slovakia. I was wondering, if anyone knows how many of these were made with a 440 TNT? Most of these I have seen have a 383 engine. Could not find this info anywhere. Thank you!
