    WANTED oil pan

187 is specifically for a big block 73-78 BBody car. It's the only stock pan that clears (without modification) the isolated Kframe on these cars.

Found this which has some of the other casting numbers.... unfortunately not yours: Center Section Types The 8-3/4" axle was available in three basic types. The types are differentiated by the pinion stem diameter....1-3/8", 1-3/4", 1-7/8". The choice of axle pinion assembly was determined...

I've had a couple with weird numbers over the years but not the same numbers as yours. I dont have them anymore so cant tell you the numbers but they were late 50's early 60's and ended up using the same pinion seals as a 741. I hadn't had to do bearings on them but if I had I would have...

I bought this old Charger Monday

But if he's gonna put a warmed over 440 in it, might as well make it more of a fun car for some spirited driving/track... the car looks like its already ready for some of that already (why else would you back-brace an 8.75, Dual 3" Xpipe exhaust, trunked battery with cut-off, TTI headers...) My...

I bought this old Charger Monday

Really nice complete car by the way and love the chin spoiler! I had a 74SE and when I had completely rebuilt the suspension (I wish I still had that car), I also did the following: Looks/sound like the previous owner made a lot of improvements and likely did what I suggest below, nut just in...

The OP asked about Kframe pucks and Bbodies… maybe he should have been directed to FBBO ...then I got carried away... far far away lololol

    K Frame Isolator

Not my car but here is a pic of the crossmember (black) and you can see the back of the torsion bar in the socket and the end shows the rubber bushings to the body of the car

    K Frame Isolator

:) There is an isolated torsion bar cross member on the 73 and up BBody's and 79-81 RBody's. They are not really called minipucks but they are called "torsion bar crossmember bushings".

    K Frame Isolator

BBody's had rubber Isolated K frames starting in 73. All F, J, M and R bodies also did. Additionally, you will be hard pressed to ever find any of those original cast iron pucks anymore unless your extremely lucky. If you are looking for a set of solid isolators for those cars, Firm Feel...

To cruise, or not to cruise

Right on! I also went to an Eddy and had to use that 1481 adapter however I have to modify (yet) the Eddy air cleaner base I have because the adapter with the 'lost motion linkage' interferes.

To cruise, or not to cruise
