I fixed my old tank. It had a few small dings. The filled the dents with body filler and sprayed the tank with Tank tone from Eastwood. Turned out nice and has been like that for a few years now.

Make sure all the bolt holes are free of debris and old sealer. I had some bolts reach torque but not holding the pan tight enough to seal.

Not a expert here at all but I think they will just need some lube to make them come out easier. I think they have like a metal clip inside the seat frame that helps retain them.
