Side window vertical leading edge weather strips for 4-door hardtop Fuselages

Mikelh, is that a 2-door or 4-door? I have a 73 4-door and ordered the VS7-AFL last year, but they didn’t look like what my car has so I sent them back.

2025 options for 1973 Imperial ball joint boots?

Just sent! For the benefit of anyone else who ever looks at this, I ended up deciding to buy a set from mobileparts directly, as he has U.S.-made boots that fit.

2025 options for 1973 Imperial ball joint boots?

Appreciate the input! I’m skeptical of Chinese parts generally and even more so lately as some parts I’ve acquired broke 60 seconds out of the box.

2025 options for 1973 Imperial ball joint boots?

I saw his comment after I posted my last and just sent him a DM. I’m not sure yet if I want to completely redo everything on the front end (why fix what isn’t worn out/broken yet?), so I’m trying to see what all my options are.

2025 options for 1973 Imperial ball joint boots?

Appreciate it, Aaron! Doing some searching, I ran across this kit from Kanter that is supposedly a full front-end suspension kit (1967-1973 Chrysler Imperial Front Suspension Rebuild Kit | Kanter Auto), except for inner tie rod ends and the impossible-to-find lower control rod bushings. Any...

2025 options for 1973 Imperial ball joint boots?

The seal on the passenger side upper ball joint ruptured today when greasing; my impression from the service manual is that it’s a thread-in type rather than press-in type. I haven’t disassembled yet to find out whether the ball joint itself is bad, so who knows on that (I haven’t seen anything...

Sigh, made more work for myself: Replacing front brake tubes?

That’s what I’ve been thinking. Thanks everyone for the suggestions! It took some finagling, but managed to get the front driver to front passenger side line in without too big of an ordeal. Fortunately, no need to remove the fan or shroud. It turns out it runs just in front of the radiator...

Sigh, made more work for myself: Replacing front brake tubes?

It’s a 1973 Imperial. Depending on how it looks, I may well end up replacing the rest of the front end lines (to the other side, to the proportioning valve, etc.). Now it now seems to be a matter of finding more time to do it, since it was looking to be roadworthy this week, and for something...

Sigh, made more work for myself: Replacing front brake tubes?

In the midst of reassembling the drinker’s side front disc and caliper on my 73 LeBaron, I stopped paying attention to the brake tube as I was threading on the replacement hose and put too much attention elsewhere. It ruptured. Go figure. Fortunately, the system is basically drained and also...

73 Imperial: Front Wheel Bearings, Seals, & Brakes Question

Unfortunately, my searching so far has only found two-bolt spacer and gasket sets for a Midland booster, not the four-bolt it needs. Classic looks like they had the right one at some point, but their site says it’s discontinued. Strangely, the few photos I’ve seen of four-bolt spacers have...

73 Imperial: Front Wheel Bearings, Seals, & Brakes Question

While doing an overhaul on the front end and getting ready to have the discs turned and take out the booster to send away for rebuilding, I came up with a few questions on stuff I probably need. The right front wheel bearings are probably the source of a rubbing noise, so I'd like to replace...

[Solved] Fuselage era wheel bearing dust/grease caps?

Thanks! I think it’s much more likely I misunderstood what I’m looking at. I’m still learning.

[Solved] Fuselage era wheel bearing dust/grease caps?

My 73 is missing these covers on the rear. Is there any source for these around? From what I can tell, all the rest of the C Bodies in that era did not use the same one.

My New (to Me) 73 Imperial LeBaron

Looking again, I've seen two different returns for the HL2 code. The Parchment frames that I first saw someone mention it as on a couple of forums, but then the decoder on RealDash.net says HL2 is 'Unknown Int.' Maybe that's the Burnished Red but hasn't been entered into a database yet?

My New (to Me) 73 Imperial LeBaron

Whom do you recommend sending those off to? As far as the Thermoquad, my mechanic is giving it back to me; I have no idea whether it's the original or not, but suspect it probably is.
