    What's it worth?

So it looks like it's a 67 440 block which checks out because my 300 is a 67. So it is mostly likely the original block i think? The cross and X mean and correct me if i ak wrong, the rod journals are .010 undersized. Which it came from the factory like that. I am not sure what the "9" and...

    What's it worth?

Good evening and Merry Christmas Eve, I have a 440 i pulled out of my 67 Chrysler 300 and i an not sure it's worth. It has a forged steel crank, "LY" Rods, and 516 heads. The block appears to be in excellent condition and the bores look like they have never been oversized which makes sense...

    Loss of fuel under throttle.

I have good news and bad news. I think I found out what the issue is... bad news is, it might suck fixing it. I threw the new 750 carb on the car this weekend (saturday)and it ran great. Ran a whole bunch of errands, hit the gym, went our for Halloween weekend. And then the problem came back...

    Loss of fuel under throttle.

Yup, nothing was in the filter because the paint inside the carb has been washing away from the ethanol in the gas. The issue was literally at the carb itself.

    Loss of fuel under throttle.

I swapped the bowls and made it home. Had to remove the power valve linkage. It was a **** show. On the side of the road for too long.. Not sure if I'm going to keep this or throw it in the garbage. But thank you for all the help.

    Loss of fuel under throttle.

Been messing with the car all afternoon. Front float wasn't set right. Fixed it but one of the bolts that holds it in snapped off. However I can still secure the float. These FST carbs are painted black. And you can see in the photo that the gasoline eats the black paint, which then subsequently...

    Loss of fuel under throttle.

Left the shipyard today to try to get the car on base to the shop. Made it 2/3 of the way there. I changed out the needle and seat on the side on the road. It did nothing, more to follow. Reading a book at Starbucks while I wait for the car to cool down. I don't think the issue is vapor lock...

    Loss of fuel under throttle.

The float levels looked good when I opened it up. They moved freely and should bring the fuel up to halfway up the sight bowl. but I can barely see any fuel in the front bowl when it's running.

    Loss of fuel under throttle.

I did not, however I did take the fuel line off and pump gas into a 1 gallon bottle to verify the new fuel pump was working. I guess I can check that as well though. Thank you.
