    Thank you for all of your incite on this subject. Now that I have an explanation for the red hose installation. I think I will flush the system install the control valve and get on the road.

    I am guessing with this half A$$ repair I am going to pull the heater out as my carpet and floors are good. Iv'e had a coolant leak before and don't want that in the car.

    You guy wouldn't know what is going on here would you? This hose comes through the firewall and is screwed to the heater box and plugged at the end.
