    300-H HURST nerd stuff...

Bought car on Ebay for $1000 in 2001, put 18K into it so far. So not worth much. Maybe I was being too paranoid. So fine, Number is 194407, VON#J99478. I don't know how you want to classify it. Car was abused then abandoned in junkyard before I got it. I've done many subtle changes...

    Why I drive old cars.

Today's cars are better in almost every way than the 1960-70's. Safer, faster, easier to drive and better on the environment. (No more breathing horrible smog, exhaust, lead (autism, learning disabilities) like every downtown had in the 1970's). Most 1960/70's muscle cars are overrated today...

    300-H HURST nerd stuff...

Here's mine. (I read its easier to steal/change ownership of a car by knowing the VIN....so yep, I'm paranoid.) I guess I have the earliest Hurst in this thread? (oh boy, did I win anything?...yay for me) Can anyone tell me why the "9" looks so weird? It's a little darker and not lined up.

Dang!, and I thought my Hurst was bad when I rescued it from a junkyard.

    Uncle Tony is not happy!

I'm not a fan of turbos, but the twin turbo 6 seems like a powerful engine. At least Dodge is trying. Depends on how they price it if it will be a success. I think the ICE one is a great. I'd buy one if I had the money. However, I don't think they'll sell many electric ones. The nice...

    300-H HURST nerd stuff...

Wondering if someone can tell me where these 6 way power seats came from? Stamp states FT6, but build sheet has "Imp Special Int" written on build sheet. Build sheet paper is rotted out where interior code is. I bought my car from a NJ junkyard. The door skins were same valor but was like...

Vid is 6yrs old but I didn't see it in this thread. As Trace said earlier, the wheels are not Hursts and were added later.

Restoration parts companies rant! Van's & Mr Moparts

At least they're around. Restoring cars in the 1990's wasn't much fun. Before internet, before cell phones (yeah, some rich pukes had them, but not many). The few aftermarket companies, Hemmings and local papers had very few items. Junk yards didn't know what old cars they had so you had to...

    Uncle Tony is not happy!

I like the design, however engineering is just another nail in the death of Mopar. Stellantis is having issues with electric vehicles, so last month, Stellantis, Volkswagen and Renault formed an alliance to hopefully lower the prices. Mopar - A very slow, painful death. 1998 - Merged with...

NOT MINE 70 Hurst ON FB Rockford IL 10K

The problem with the 300-H is that there is nothing great about it. Many found a nice 300 with a 375hp, found a fiberglass hood and deck and Presto! They got a 300 Hurst. Chrysler (for some odd reason) thought they were going to make these for 1971. So Hurst made 1000 extra hoods and decks...

NOT MINE 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst

Hurst gold wasn't gaudy enough for me. I went with a Corvette gold. Hurst wheels were too gaudy for me. I went with all chrome. Front end wasn't gaudy enough for me. So I added a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 spoiler. .....Many other little things. The great thing about these 300 Hursts is there...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

20yrs ago, I found Ford Thunderbird steel covers are very similar. (forgot which yr). Bought from junkyard for $20. Painted SEM (had to paint almost entire interior SEM from sitting in junkyard for decades). SEM Interior paint still looks great. No one notices. My car will never win any...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

See my post below. Hope you have better luck. Supposedly, the later mopar steel ones work, but those are $175. And after trying a number of alternatives which all failed, I went with a manual one...

Question about Toyota's free new car! (no joke). How can Mopar compete with that?

This week, Toyota lowered the price of its Toyota Mirai by $40,000. From $52,000 to $12,000. Toyota also gives a $15,000 hydrogen fuel card, so car is technically free. Problems are 1) It runs on Hydrogen. 2) Some Hydrogen fuel stations are closing. 3) There's few Mirai's remaining for...
