Like Big_John said, a bad/weak ground will cause the issues you describe.

I bought a set for my '70 Fury before I knew better. I used them to make patch panels. The wheel well contour was not even close.

All we have is 1/8 around here. Closest 1/4 mile is a 3 hour drive (Montgomery Motorsports Park).

I found Rush channel scanning AM back in 1989 when I was still driving OTR. There will never be another like him. those are shoes that will never be filled, I'm glad you said try.
