Hmmm interesting i never checked that code... i didn't even think it could be a 500 it had all the standard monaco trim and even the front fender had no holes for the 500 trim panel??? Probably a misstype on the tag or a very early dealer modification? Hope not the 500 would make it more special...
But the final Result is great it Looks fantastic, some adjustment and polishing needs to be done at the bodyshop but Overall very nice.
It is restored to max. original condition only the color (original white) and the wheels arent stock.

Then finding a correct 69 HP2 440 with 727 transmission and renew it and put the complete redone front end together. Once again every little thing was missing from the accelerator cable to the a/c lines i had to find everything. It was so frustrating
In that time i had to Remake the whole interior every damn piece was like crap...
And there are no repro parts so i had to find ideas to reproduce the panels. I'm a carpenter so i made Tools out of wood and put all together in the hydraulic Press
Hello years ago i asked in the Parts Wanted forum for 69 monaco parts because i found that smashed and beat up monaco coupe in a friends Yard.
Years and a lot of hours of work and sweat later the rescue is done.
Thanks a lot a new one is shure great but i patched the A/C system out of used spare parts together, most parts came from a 69 newyorker, so i don't know if it will ever work.
To get the R12 here in switzerland is very hard.
And for a 134A conversion i don't know if i can keep the stock compressor
