Do you patch as things break or do you keep up on the preventative maintenance that any vehicle needs? I don't know you but there are some that buy the cheapest part, that only replace the one part that's causing a problem "right now", with no thought to what might break or what companion parts...

I'm glad I don't consider myself among them. That said I have a lot better chance at helping myself and getting past a problem with an older car than a newer POS.... Who needs 27 "control modules" or 97 sensors to get where they're going? If your car doesn't have it it can't leave you stranded...

Yup it's the booster. No doubt. Had tach and vacuum gauge on engine, pulled check valve with it running, it's good. Swapped in another check valve and it operates exactly the same. I stick a bolt in vacuum line from booster to engine and it slows down and smooths out, idle goes from 1175 with it...
