    Door Trim Clips source?

Do you have any pictures of what those upper chrome door trim clips look like?? The trim piece came off my 66 300 driver's side rear door and I found that whoever put it on after the car was painted just used big screws with some black sticky goop to hold it on. It has held for about 6 or 7...

    A Few Parts from a 66 300

I have the original intake and Carter AFB carb that came off the 383 in my 66 300. Also the original air cleaner and a few other items. I know I will never re-install the intake and carb. I have a box of odds and ends that were given to me when I got the car back in 2013. I was moving another...

Alternators, Starters, Wires, and Hard Starting

I used a VOM to check the voltage level on the "Field" terminal and applied voltage to the "Ign" terminal. As I varied the voltage input with a couple of resistors, I could watch the output change. Not a true reliable test, but it showed me the regulator was working. I need to add that this is...

Alternators, Starters, Wires, and Hard Starting

I took the alternator to O'Reilly to get it tested. Their tester was broken, but the counter man said, since I had done the jumper test that the unit was most likely dead. It was a lifetime warranty remanufactured 60 amp unit so he gave me another one. I went ahead and bought a new, electronic...

Alternators, Starters, Wires, and Hard Starting

Thanks so much for that link. I think my alternator died this evening on the way to a show. I did the "jumper between BAT and FLD" test and the battery voltage didn't change so i guess the alternator has had it. I'll take it off and get it tested tomorrow. Got the manual downloaded. It shows 44...

    Widest 28" diam wheel/tyre under 66 Chrysler 300?

I have 235/75-15 Cooper tires on 6" Magnum 500 wheels on my 66 300 and it looks and drives wonderfully. They are just under 29" diameter with no fitment problems at all.

Tire size info needed for '67 Newport

According to B.F. Goodrich's chart for Radial T/A tires, a 205/60-15 load limit is 1301. So you're good for 5200+ pounds. Those Pacer Supreme wheels are a nice looking wheel. The 5X4.5 bolt circle is correct, too.

    Wide Steel Wheels

A 225 tire on a 9 1/2" rim is not a good idea. Much too wide of a rim for that size tire. The smallest tire for that rim would be a 265 or so. From a B.F. Goodrich size chart: Tire Size Rim Width Range P225/60R15 6.0 - 7.5 P265/50R15 7.5 - 9.5 P275/50R15 7.5 - 9.5...

converting to dual piston Master Cylinder

I live alone since my wife passed away soI don't always have anyone to help me bleed brakes. I bought a Power Bleeder and it works great. Just fill the reservoirs, fill the bleeder with fluid and pressure it up to about 10 PSI. Then just start your bleeding process at the furthest wheel till...
