I would build up a thermoquad and stick on it, then you can get the best of both worlds, fuel mileage and performance, it's the only carb I use on my chrysler products.
Wow yea that is definitely a cleaner up and drive it car I sure hope someone who loves these old chryslers has the cash to purchase and puts it back on the road rather then parting it out or worse/derby. Iam always 2000 miles away and 3000 Short of cash
Everyone hates the thermoquads and quadrojets, but I love them and it's all I run I rebuilt the thermoquad on my 78 400 did lean burn delete and it works great (I got a how to rebuild manual) and was able to figure it out. Any how my 78 newport was running warm and basically doing the same...
Man if I had the cash and the means to travel to go pick it up I'd be all over this car I'd love to have a 70 or 71 dodge or chrysler. For now ill keep working on my 78 newport
Yes it can be deleted I have a 78 newport with a 400 I just did the lean burn delete I bought the summit brand vacuum advance distributor and ignition box kit came with wiring and all. Then I rebuild the factory tq but went with a smaller set of needles I might go with bigger jets down the road...
