NOT MINE 69 SPORT FURY CONVERTIBLE at estate sale

lot of speculation from the peanut gallery, my favorite so far is the car was rootbeer brown at some point...where??? furthermore the SO number is odd and the car has some real pedigree as it is something special. Apparently the under car police were at the donut shop as nothing has been said about the condition of the under side of the car. Stevie wonder could have given a better report

12k seems high for a car that will need 30k + in resto work ( if you do the work yourself) .
But it is a cool loaddd car with a story . Never seen a Monroni with the press car designation .

You obviously didn't look at the paperwork like we did.

paperwork? window sticker is all that can be seen here...what is there to be missed.
Very special car, odd SO#, no sign of brown, Y28 Q5 for body color on the fender tag so show us dummmies the brown. where is it?

Open account for billing...plant pick up, SO at the bottom shows E-710445 and other interesting information as to what the car was going to be used for. Decode all that info and we have a winner

What does the underside of the car look like? Some one looked at it...you guys are usually all over that and love to nitpick something you are not buying like it's a new car. So what if it costs 30k to resurrect, it is still worth close to the asking prices unless it's a total roach underneath, So when do we get the report of the rest of the car? Some looked at it allegedly

Anyone search the detroit metro area for P Meath? He could still be alive or a relative is still around. Did Anyone ask Dean H about this car and the "paperwork" ? Then again do you know who Dean H is? Not my job to ask him.

Invoice

Y28 is the reason for the 710445 VON

325 SPD as well as references to Corporate advertising = possibly built for internal corporate use for display/appearance at a spring event such as Opening day for the Detroit Tigers baseball season, spring car trade event, a parade, large public event like a mall grand opening, etc.

the E of the E-710445 likely indicates model year 1969.

Also notice the VIN for CH43K9C213369 on the invoice

I looked at the car, the underneath was good!! When I saw the wavy quarters and then the pop riveted in patch,my mind was made up about the car. All the trim and interior was literally thrown back on the car,the windshield chrome was loose and flapping! The rocker trim was missing on drivers side and other side was bowed. It was left uncover for 25 years,i saw pics before it was blown off..Paint looked good except for silver dollar size dent in frt fender and larger deep gouges in quater panel above wheel well. The car was brought back to life without, oil, water, gas being changed and no priming of the top end. I think its a dream car but is gonna turn into a big dollar nightmare fixing what was already done and finding the missing trim pieces. I ecspect to see the car back up for sale soon after a clean up and hillbilly tunup. I consider it a special car because of its pedigree but way too much needed to bring her back for me.

Ha! Way ahead of you again .

Very interesting Sport Fury. $12K was a very, very fair deal for this car. I'm not exactly sure why people are complaining about the "rust" and purchase price. If you wanted a convertible MoPar with a big block, and loaded with options in a very attractive color combination, this was it......cool and comfortable cruiser as well.

I had thought about grabbing it,...but not it the cards today.

Whomever did buy it got a good car for sure.

I know where there is one I'd rather have. This car however I thought was worthy of the price.

Hi Bryan, no, my 69 Sport Fury is long gone. There is a member here with a fine looking 69 SF ragtop with the right options that is / was avaliable. I want it. However I'm holding out and that seems like a futile effort.
