Factory 4-Speed-C-Body-Photo-Thread

This one was FS on FB or CL awhile back for a much lower price, it is now in the hands of 'the broker market'.
My memory of it back then was that it seemed to be a mostly-honest car.
I haven't bothered to read any further on it now, so have no opinion on what BS a broker might be spouting on it, except that they have priced it even higher.

Saw this one awhile back and didn't even feel like saving the info on it due to the high /unrealistic price.
Was closing out old stuff today and reconsidered.

Bumpers are quite shiny, most of the body lines/gaps are really good (hood needs adjusted?), steering wheel has no cracks, old bias-ply tire for a spare.
What I can see of the door panels looks really good.
The odometer numbers are super-straight. Could it really be only 25k miles?

Even if so, it's priced to high for the state it's in.
Sport Fury emblems look to be in the wrong spot on the fenders, the lower rear quarters look a little funny, drivers seat foam is deteriorated.
Tailpipe laying on the ground.
Some visible rust, too.

Needs TLC from tip-tail, but it's priced like it's RTG as-is.

I'm curious how long the current owner has had it, and how much they know of its history.

The VIN tag is missing, as can be seen in the old pic AND the current cleaned-up pic. ('65 VINs are spot-welded in place, so removing one of those is a very intentional act)
Reportedly, seller at that time had that VIN.
The fendertag shows 99 for engine code.
Code 99 for the engine means std engine, so for this car a 315-hp 383 4-barrel with single exhaust.
Per the discussions, it does have a 426 in it now.

Was then listed on FB (a few months ago?) in WI for $2500. (and marked as sold)
--> per that ad "1965 Dodge Monaco. 426 wedge 4sp. All original. Needs full restoration. Prefer phone calls over messages - [hidden information]. "

So it seems that current owner is misinformed about being all-original. BTAIM


Looks like the interior cleaned up nicely. (the console was pictured separately in the prior ad)

You're welcome. (thanks to you also, you've contributed quite a few cars in these 25 pages)
I've been following 4-speed C's since around 1993, shortly after I got mine.
My first research effort involved 'correspondence'; meaning, I had to mail a letter to an expert I discovered via a magazine.

With that said, sometimes I can't remember yesterday, but each of these cars is engrained in my memory like a familiar face.
