Support the Elimination of E15 Fuel

What's this crap that we have to contain methane emissions from livestock, now? Seriously, Obama, how effed up was that?

I have a big problem with any percentage of ethanol in fuel because my tax dollars pay for it and then I have to pay for it at the pumpp and then have to buy more of it due to decreased efficiency.

Here is a new call for action by the SEMA Action Network in this matter, this time concerning the following issue:

"The EPA issued a proposed regulation that would allow gas stations around the country to sell E15 (gasoline that’s 15% ethanol) during the summer months (June 1 through September 15). If finalized, the EPA would overturn its long-standing prohibition on the sale of E15 during high-ozone season by allowing the fuel to use the 1 pound per square inch (psi) Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) waiver, which currently allows E10 sales during the summer months. The EPA’s effort to allow year-round E15 sales would expand the number of gas stations selling gasoline blended with higher amounts of ethanol."

So will you be writing your congressman about this too? :poke::lol:

:D Good point! Oil industry in Germany is required by law to make sure that the total amount of the products they sell contains a prescribed amount of organic fuels. So all pump gas may contain up to 5 % ethanol with a choice of a somewhat cheaper (read: less taxed) E10 containing 10 % ethanol. The more expensive premium gasoline with higher octane ratings will most likely contain less than 5 % ethanol or even none of it, but you can't be sure.

I've wrote in a previous thread that all of this moonshine-gas is a massive government web of screw up.
1. They give out government money to farmers so they don't tank.
2. Farmers grow more corn than necessary because the government agreed to buy any corn that the consumers don't buy.
3. The government now has all of this extra corn that they have no idea what to do with.
4. Their solution is to force the consumer to buy it anyway, but in gas form.
The real solution to this problem is to not oppose E-15 laws, but to get rid of the laws giving farmers extra money. In turn that creates a huge problem where you kill off many family farms, etc etc. I was always told "If you find yourself in a hole, the best thing to do is stop digging."
