I love it.
Couldn't take the car if it was given to me.
Imp repairs would bankrupt me. C1

Red on red - lots to like there - seems to be in good shape, especially for that price......

And that's why I sold my '64. I thought about all the things it would need, and how long I'd have to work to pay for them, and that was that.

not sure why you think a 64 imp would cost more to maintain and repair than a 64 new yorker or other c body......
paint and body, yes but mechanical ?
ive not found that to be the case

In my case, the internet was still new enough (texting was only a few years old) and parts were hard to find as I had the Trading Times for parts, and I could trip over parts for my Dart. And parts I did find for an Imp, were pricey. I'd still have the car in the same condition today if I had kept it.

Same. Sold my 63 because of the pricey and near impossible to find parts. It's a shame
If it wasn't pre smartphone era, I'd have the damn car and it would be running. I just didn't have the resources to source parts. For me, the last six years on F_BO have been a whirlwind, compared to my previous fourteen years of being an old car owner.

The internet changed everything when it came to what I thought I knew about the hobby.
Before the internet you stopped learning by the age of fifty.

im sorry you guys had probs finding parts, ive actually never had an issue getting parts that were reasonably priced. not from when i got my 1st imp in 1982 and from 2017 on when i got my 64 imp convert back after selling it in 1996. at which time i got into 74-78 imp/nybs.

probs finding parts
The internet merely makes it convenient to search for parts. I suspect anyone that's been into Corvettes or Mustangs the past fifty years could tell you about the value of car clubs and magazines to their chosen interest. Someone into Studebakers knows that, even with online resources, they have a limited amount of parts available. If you really love your Imperial, you will stick with it; even if you have to fabricate your own replacement parts.

Since owning several Imperials since 1983,I couldn't have said it better myself !!!! Amen Brother !!

I had a 64 that I crashed into a mini van back in 2000 and the price of parts and paint I could buy a nice ready to drive for less then $5000. I sold it and it got demoed, they are a pain to work on but there fun to drive. We had 8 people in mine going 110 mph one night!
