    Torsion Bars not working

The torsion bars are factory. This is a 1965 Imperial Crown that is almost completely original. The adjustment bolts are not at the a-arms. They are at the rear of the bars, in the middle of the vehicle. All my cranking didn't seem to raise the car at all. It's still sitting at the same height...

    Torsion Bars not working

Yeah, I've done all the above suggestions. Tried tires hanging, jacked up just a bit, all the weight down, one side at a time, etc... I've bounced and jounced all sides, measured from the fender to the street. It actually went down a half an inch after cranking the bolts up.

    Torsion Bars not working

The front end is pretty low. I'm going to get a picture today. I'm pretty sure I've turned each side at least 4 or 5 complete revolutions.

    Torsion Bars not working

Hey guys! My son and I installed new rear leaf springs and shocks on his 1965 Imperial Crown. That job went okay. Now that we are finished the rear end sits significantly higher than the front. We tried to crank the torsion bars up a little bit but, nothing happened. I ended up turning both...

    Speedo Cable Gear?

I got a new speedo from the amazing Murray Park today. I went over it carefully and I don't see that spring on it anywhere. Maybe it came from somewhere else. I installed it and it is working fine. I switched the odo's because I want the mileage to be accurate for this car. We have a...

    Speedo Cable Gear?

Alright guys, Check this out. We pulled the speedo cable and found this. So naturally I thought "well, we just need a new speedo cable and gear. So, I called the ever cool and helpful Murray Park and ordered a cable and gear set. Cable shows up quickly and looks good. Let's slap this thing in...

    Speedo Cable Gear?

Well, driving with no speedometer is not the real problem. He doesn't have a gas gauge either. We need to fix both. :D

    Speedo Cable Gear?

Yeah, it's a 65. The gear was like that clearish yellow color like plastic with no color added. If it would stop raining I'll pull it out again. It ain't hard to do. I just have to get the thing jacked up and on some stands again.

    Speedo Cable Gear?

I should have taken a pic. There was no clip on it. I can clearly see the 2 slots on the side where a clip would be. It wasn't on there. I tried to just pull it off and tried to pry with a screwdriver but it wouldn't budge.

    Speedo Cable Gear?

Hey guys, recently the speedo in my son's 65 stopped working. So yesterday, we took the cable apart to look and see what was going on before ordering any parts and what we found was interesting. We pulled the cable loose from the back of the speedo and the pulled the other end out of the...
