    What’s it worth - 1968 Sport Fury 2 door Hdtp w/ 520” stroker.

If it were a 70 it'd be a beauty to go hurt some feelings with!

    What’s it worth - 1968 Sport Fury 2 door Hdtp w/ 520” stroker.

It's tough because the combo would never be competitive in stock appearing races, just not the right car. I'm not an expert in SA vs FAST or pure stock, but the car doesn't seem to be 'extreme' enough for it, and yet too extreme to be 'just a car'. I can completely understand the set of...

    What’s it worth - 1968 Sport Fury 2 door Hdtp w/ 520” stroker.

Hard to price but probably easier to sell than my turbo fury  Our special creatures take special owners. I would think maximum dollars to fund the 71 would come from selling the stroker and putting a stock engine in the car.

To Mod, or Not to Mod, that is the question. What will break at 500hp?

I have an a500 behind my turbo 383 in the fury

To Mod, or Not to Mod, that is the question. What will break at 500hp?

I don't like 3.55 either. 3.23 or 3.91 - pick one that'll do what you want, not the one in the middle that does neither.

To Mod, or Not to Mod, that is the question. What will break at 500hp?

Stuff only breaks if you have traction. 500 isn't a big deal for OEM parts.

1968 New Yorker 4Dr HT: Headlights dim with blinker and brake use

It's normal for these 50 yrs old cars and systems that are corroding and rotting. Even 25yrs ago we had cars with the base alternator dim at idle at night. Check for resistance in the various circuits

    End of the Season

Nice! I've still got to fix a turbo return oil line leak and get mine back to Iowa for hibernation

No brakes! Pedal goes to floor with engine running.

well, you may just be feeling the mechanical effort in the booster with the car off, presumably you're not creating any real psi at the wheels with the engine on or off. Where in Iowa are you?

No brakes! Pedal goes to floor with engine running.

An immediate pedal to the floor is a big problem that should in theory be easy to find. With the engine running so you have boost, no amount of pumping will build any pedal feel?

    Longer wheel studs

Definitely not enough thread engagement. Are those wheels supposed to use a through style lug nut or conventional conical seat?

383 Rough Idle Stops WITH Vacuum Leak. Huh?

Unfortunately you can't test a clutch fan like that, unless maybe it has absolutely no resistance. There is no bench test for them. Your idle screws making no difference is a indicating a hidden problem yet. What carb? What were your vacuum readings with different timing settings?

It was twenty years ago today…

Nice. I'll hit a quarter century with my fury this November. 28 years with my Coronet

2 BBL to 4 BBL conversion - linkages to change?

On a fusie at least I've used 2bbl kickdown on 4bbl by using a small nut and bolt as a stop in the slot to get correct engagement

    Carburetor questions

I don't understand how anyone doesn't love a double pumper. Carterbrocks are hard hot starters on e10 and come calibrated very lean. I suppose a 600-650cfm is ok on a 440 for a Sunday drive car, but why don't yall just own a 318 car at that point? :poke::D

Pull my hair out?! $@$_&- carburetor.

What does a vacuum gauge say with the advance off, hooked up, and when you mess with the initial timing? Normally I'd say a shudder like that is too much vac advance too soon. Should be adjustable with Allen wrench in vac port.
