1968 NewYorker option SB Accent Stripe Black

I am not sure how these are done. It looks like a tape stripe when you enlarge the picture to max. But then the edges of a tape are not there when I try with my old fingers...like it would be a tape which have melted on. When I check door edges there is nothing of the normal tape ends. The three...

1968 NewYorker option SB Accent Stripe Black

I am quite sure that mine is the one laid on at the assembly line. On top is two thin black stripes very close to each other then a single a little lower. Can somebody tell for sure this is correct? How on earth was this made? Especially the rear end looks very home made on almost all cars I...

    1968 Newport Body Splash Shields

On my survivor Newyorker 68 the small shields were there so I am positive that the 65-68 DMT small ones are wrong. The should be like 69-71 version. Took 5 minutes to cut them right so no big deal. The big 65-68 DMT shields are correct on my car at least.

    SPLASH SHIELDS AND KITS

I got it figured out on my own. Since the old a-arm flaps were missing I didn`t understand that the left and right flaps go tucked between the inner fender and the frame. The new flaps were also without holes for the clips.

    SPLASH SHIELDS AND KITS

I bought a kit for my NewYorker 1968 which had four flaps. Those were decent , the smaller ones I had to cut a little to get them identical with the old ones. These come on the inner side of the frame. On my car has been more flaps , the outside of the frame has one clip on both sides of the...

What is the paint layer thickness on your survivor original paint?

I measured my NewYorker 1968 today. Between 200 and 300 micron (0,2-0,25mm). Some spots down to 170 and other up to 300. Then I measured on my brand new KIA...it had a little thicker paint , more like 250-300 micron. Since I have a cheap meter we must its readings are just for comparison. A...

Only perfect used or Nos parts are of interest. Rather only the plastic emblem since the hubcaps are perfect except for the emblems which have small surface cracks.
