Which headers fit? 67 VIP Hardtop

Hi! Long time no see! I'm not big on chrome either... Black headers would be just fine. :) I was hoping this would be easy, but I did buy a C-Body. Just trying to order the right drums and wheel studs has my head spinning. 2-3/4? 3? Budd? Kelsey-Hayes? Neither? Heavy Duty? Haha! I almost want to...

Which headers fit? 67 VIP Hardtop

Tallhair, thanks for the input. I do insist on headers, simply because I'm a sucker for pretty pipes. I put an Edelbrock 4 barrel & performer intake on it when the itty bitty stock carb gave up on me, but I haven't opened up the engine. Not in full build territory yet... still in Bolt-on land. I...

Which headers fit? 67 VIP Hardtop

Ah, that's exactly the frustration I'm trying to avoid. Beautiful by the way! I hear TTI is the best way to go.

Thanks, I only looked locally on craigslist.

Which headers fit? 67 VIP Hardtop

Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'm that one strange person who wants a VIP to be loud. I have a cracked manifold, or I wouldn't give a darn about replacing them. I'm broke, or this would be solved already. I looked for hp manifolds & couldn't find them for less than $600/pair. I suppose I...

Which headers fit? 67 VIP Hardtop

I'm having trouble finding any of the threads I looked at last year on this forum regarding headers. I want to do headers on my '67 4 door VIP (383), and someone said the B & E body shortys (part # 78070 I think) from Hedman would work, but I want to hear from you folks on what you've done for...

need 440 exhaust manifolds to fit 4-door fury

I'm pretty sure that isn't the case with my car, but I'll keep diigging. All this info is helping me confront all the little stuff I've been ignoring for months. Now that the car runs better I can worry about the junk that'll get me pulled over. :)

need 440 exhaust manifolds to fit 4-door fury

Yeah, I'll get around to tooting soon. I've been out of work for two weeks, so I'm not feeling very proud of myself at the moment. Some noteable work though, is all the gaudy scenery in Big Brother on CBS for the last 4 years... Revamp of the Star Tours ride at Disneyland... Tons of the...

need 440 exhaust manifolds to fit 4-door fury

has2bmopar, Thank you!!!!! Very helpful. True, no cornering lights, but will the right part have two connections for each front signal? (I have the little bullet signal indicators on the top corners of my fenders) or does that split take place later in the wiring? Also, my reverse lights are...

Thanks! I feel quite fortunate to have a decent carreer despite my tendency to look cool. ;)

The link worked, but eBay gave me some trouble in the mobile site. My Droid likes the full site better. My husband would totally LOVE your "yard". More room for cars & trucks!

Can a decent set of wheels save this Fast Top?

Ah, so if I understood you correctly, you disapprove of Bondo AND fiberglass, and if I want to eliminate the trim I should break out the welder. (The presumed "right way the first time") And if/when I feel like selling the car I should then find a buyer who didn't want the trim either! :)

Can a decent set of wheels save this Fast Top?

I'm curious why you're wondering that. What's the preferred method? I'm planning to plug my trim holes with kitty hair because it's tougher than Bondo, but if I ever sell the car to a purist, he can grind off all the paint & find the original holes still. Then just punch them out & reinstall...

Thanks Matt, I'll check it out. No, I don't have a service manual yet. I suppose I'll break down & buy one. It's funny you should say that. I am a professional scenic painter for tv & theme parks, but that's just my back yard and a cigarette. :)

need 440 exhaust manifolds to fit 4-door fury

Thanks. Have you ever changed the combination switch for the turn signals/brake lights (in the steering column)? I was told that I need that part, but can't find it online. The issue is apparently no contact for the driver side bulbs while braking, but the left signal works (same filament)...

need 440 exhaust manifolds to fit 4-door fury

I'm beginning to see how fascinating I am to these gentlemen. I bought my car in August from the son of its second deceased owner. I've been daily driving it, since I blew the trans on my 80's Camaro. It was all original except for the driver side paint. My hubby helped me change the dinky 2bbl...
