    I had similar problems. Loose distributor shaft and bad pickup. That's the reason.

    Hi, my 1970 Chrysler 440 distributor has a loose shaft and the ignition isn't staying in place. It has been modified for electronic ignition. I am ordering a new distributor from Rockauto and would like to know if the 1972 440 distributor will work straight.

    The car is about 70 kilometers from my home. But it's possible if I visit city of Kouvola. The visit may take some time, but then I check the fender and door sticker date on the car. Then let's get back to it.

    The VIN and registration comes from the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom. One of its tasks is to maintain the motor vehicle register.
