10,000 Lakes Concourse De Elegance, Shakopee MN Sept 14, 2025

Sorry for the late post, I just realized I didn't show you the pictures from the event. This was by invition only limited to 150 cars produced up to 1980. My '81 was included because of the 100 anniversary of Chrysler celebration. To say I felt way out of place here. And I'll just mention again...

    9th Annual C body Show...

I cannot confirm or deny my participation in this years 9th annual C-bodies Only show. An on going issue with my lower left leg has started acting up again. Even in the comfort of an Imperial, the 6hr one way drive maybe just to much. Was looking forward to meeting up with you guys again...

Concours d'Elegance style shows: anyone participated or attended one?

They changed locations, originally in or around a park in Minneapolis MN but now in a southwestern suburb. Canterbury Park is a horse racing track owned by the Mystic Lake tribe and the show was in the infield. Absolutely no shade, nearly 90 degrees lucky there was some wind. It was very...

Concours d'Elegance style shows: anyone participated or attended one?

After a few days I can reflect on my experience. Being that the Imperial wasn't a classic (45 years old was to new) I wasn't judged, took some of the pressure off. Still had tons of people looking her over and taking pictures. And it was a completely different class of people both attending and...

What are you working on today??

Starting to get ready for the 10,000 Lakes Concourse. While doing half assed cosmetics to the interior, found out something interesting. Not all of the covered trim is plastic. The panels above the doors look to be aluminum? Shines up so nice, so no paint for them.

Concours d'Elegance style shows: anyone participated or attended one?

Thanks for the suggestions. I do wish I had some of that Herb Tarlek collection, lol. But I've got a couple of Hawaiian shirts or bowling shirts I'm planning on taking. And of course my fedora with the feather in it, too.

Coolest thing(s) I've seen in awhile.

Dumb question I probably should know this by now but was there a Newport Navaho coupe in 1974? And is this possibly one?

Concours d'Elegance style shows: anyone participated or attended one?

7 days away and haven't even started detailing the Imperial yet. Just finally got my information packet. Wow, I have to be checked in by no later than 6:30 A.M. (20 min. before sunrise). Line up and enter in order by class @ 7:00. And yes they suggest dressing according to your vehicles era...
