In 69 you will find the VIN stamped in the cowl left side and the trunk gutter rail (under the weatherstrip) left side near the hinge. In 69 the SO number is not on the body. Found on the broadcast sheet, window sticker, data tag. Alan

You also have to get the transmission harness as it doesn't connect to the engine harness in 70 Alan

The 69 has the drill dimple for the 70+ regulator. I got the engine harness for the 70, it has a longer lead to the starter relay. I chose the use the idle solenoid lead to power my electronic ignition. There may have been some other pinout/connector changes. Alan

Yes, assuming you have a 3-wire switch in a 3-wire transmission. The 3-wire switch will not work in a 1-wire transmission. That being said, just hook up to the center wire. Alan

I think on the Polara 500 you got either the console or the buddy seat, I know the console was a zero cost option. I wouldn’t doubt the Monaco 500 was the same. Alan
