    Purple cam?

The "other" Purple Shaft cams are in the current MP catalog. A whole family of them! Tame to less-tame. Obviously co-opted from another cam manufacturer. NOT the same deal. More of a "marketing situation" than not. NO 284/284 Street HEMI grind, like the orig Purple Shaft cams were. CBODY67

    Purple cam?

There are "Purple Shaft" cams and Purple Shaft Cams. The orig Purple Shaft cams were the "Street HEMI" 284/284 cams and a bigger one at abt more advertised duration, which really needed a looser converter to work right. If the measured-at-the valve-retainer lift is .484", that's the Street...

Which KYB shocks x4 for 1961 Newport

Hi folks. So I've scoured the forum and it seems like KYB Gas A Just is the way to go. When looking on different web sites there is always a variety of these shocks to choose from. 1961 seemingly was such an odd year that I don't know if things were different from the majority of the C bodies...

Howdy and welcome from Colorado! What color is the interior? Well optioned car or basic? Since it came from the original family did it happen to come with all of the factory documentation papers? Looks like a great driver!

For Sale 1977 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon

Wrong time of year for this. I spoke with my son about the car. For us it is location and time issues. Fly from Alaska, rent a car, take the ferry, see your car. Then at the minimum buy snow tires and drive the car roughly 1400 miles (2200 kilometers) to its lower 48 destination in the middle of...

    440 Piston Recommendations

I rode in a 300H there not very fast low 16 second 1/4 mile times. if I raced a 300H with my 67 Newport it would 2 seconds or 20 car lenghts behide my Newport with my 2.94 gears vs the 3.23 gears of the 300H.

    440 Piston Recommendations

The specs in KB catalog show the compression height at 2.057, should work out to about .024 in the hole. With a 440 source stainless steel shim gasket @ .017 That calculates to 10.0 CR. Not quite the goal, but I would call that good enough. I would much prefer the thinner rings but for the car...
