I have sent a message to Mr. Hughes who owns the sunroof car requesting a photo of the fender tags, so we will need to wait to see if he is willing to provide that information.

Previous Discussion Regarding 1972 Imperial Sunroof Car - Did it Get Derbied??

There was a previous discussion on a 1972 Imperial with sunroof wherein participants wondered whether it ended up being derbied (no longer open to discussion) For Sale - 1972 sunroof Imperial (2dr, GB5 blue, V1B blue vinyl top, MRXW white leather interior) I just wanted to report that this...

Formal wheel opinion - Factory wheel covers or Chrome Road Wheels??

that was my 2nd sunroof 78 Salon ( im on my 3rd) all Salons were silver clear coat paint w silver vinyl roofs, that car's roof had been dyed red. in 78 they didnt offer the burgundy interior, it was now bordello red ! and Salons had either pale gray or bright red interiors like the car...

NOT MINE A uniquely Detroit tale of 15 formals at an estate..

More pictures since I hit the limit. Very hard to get good photos with two large cars in a small garage. Also no sunroof cars or parts, I already asked. The body side molding on the green car is just the stick on variety so you can put it in the trash where it belongs... if that matters to you...

    NOT MINE 1974 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron 2dr Hardtop - $4,900 - Nesconset, L.I.N.Y.

The limited run cars you are referring too are Crown Coupes. In '74 they were all a beige-y gold dark parchment-y color. Very 70's. (Also shag carpet-if you are into that sort of thing). It was a 50th anniversary trim package

Bigmoparjeff's collection of mostly big Mopars

Mine was EXACTLY like that one! 5-speed, same seats, same spoiler, no sunroof - and yours doesn't have the CHMSL either. I remember vividly that at high PRM in a 1st gear run, that the trans sounded like the bearings were overspeeding - that was my shift point. It wasn't the fastest thing on...

    NOT MINE 1974 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron 2dr Hardtop - $4,900 - Nesconset, L.I.N.Y.

Yep! The white 74 Imp coupe used to be my car, over 20 years ago! It is a sunroof car. Was not Gessweins originally. Car came from Cedar Falls, Iowa, guy named Fridley. There were only 57 Imps in 74 that had the crown roof, which is same as the later St. Regis roof.

1975 Imperial sunroof gear has stripped

What I have come across when chatting with 1973-1974 B-Body and A-Body sunroof guys, is the main problem resides with the guide block that the gear mounts in. Over time, the cables wear a slight groove in the guide block opposite of the gear. When the groove gets deep enough, the cables start to...

1972-73 IMPERIAL FOR SALE Tracker starting NOW into INFINITY.

The trim tag retains what looks to be the inspectors tag. I have not seen those much on the C's. Would the sunroof cars have taken a little extra care, hence the remaining inspectors tag? curious.

    barn find 1973 Imperial

1973 Imperial prices can be all over the shop, Doc's Old Red fetched $19K not long ago, the Hemmings sunroof car brought a bit over $44K, but other '73s which seemed really nice have been advertised under $15K, depends on condition/options/colour. Cleaned up and shiny, etc., on a bad day $12K...
