1969 Sport Fury fuel tank replacement

Spectra made in Canada. Changed mine year and a half ago. it was an exact replacement. All you have to make sure of is the number of vents coming off the tank crawl under and count them, they are above where the sending unit is.

    Experience bypassing a catalytic convertor

FWIW, By law, a mechanic likely is not allowed to tamper with emissions equipment. On a 50 year old vehicle, likely the owner can, as long as stock appearance is maintained. Want the best answer? Stop by another inspection station and ask them. If it were me, I'd just replace the cat if it is...

Alot of interesting things to see here! That looks like Peter Falk (Columbo) driving the Step-Van, A Dodge Polara Taxi (seemed in NYC if it wasn't a Checker, it was a Dodge), a GM "Fishbowl" bus with wings, and Gimbels (anyone watch Elf lately?).

Which KYB shocks x4 for 1961 Newport

Mystery solved. I spoke directly with KYB and they told me unfortunately they do not make shocks for the 1961 Chrysler Newport. No wonder I couldn't find them anywhere. So I guess now it's exploring the other brands that are out there. And for the record, I do not want air shocks. Not a fan.

Would there be any negative to just cleaning out the cat of everything that's inside and remounting it? That way it'd look legit but just be an empty can.

Interesting. I’ve always thought dealers just put them on. I have seen body tags. Even today they put a vinyl sticker on the trunk. Thanks for the info.
