You're comparing a survivor to a project car. That car didn't sit outside in CO for 53 years. It was taken care of. If you care for and garage an Arizona car it will look the same.

It might. The 73 Polara I just got sat for over 40 years and it turns over. Texas where this one is is almost as dry as AZ so good chance!

Yeah but your not going to find a 50 year old interior anywhere that doesn't need to be redone. An AZ car might have 10 cracks in the dash while a back east one only has 5 but the dash still needs to be replaced. Now do you want to talk about suspension work or exhaust work? Snapping rusty...

Yes you're right about the conduit but it's empty. It goes right up to a hole in the firewall but nothing in it. Maybe because it doesn't look like this car ever had lights, siren or even a radio?

I got a response from the ASU Police Information Officer asking for more pictures. She's not sure she can find anything but she seems interested in trying. Fingers crossed that she'll find something!

My 73 Polara Police Car. Was sitting for over 40 years before I bought it so I don't know the history for sure but I believe it was an Arizona State University Campus Police Car. It has ASU asset tags in it.

It does turn over so it's not locked up. I'll have to Lube up the cylinders before I try to start it but it just might run!

Thanks. All the pictures I found showed the 9.25 cover was flat top and bottom while mine is only flat on the bottom. Must be a certain years thing.

This differential was in the trunk of my 73 Polara Police car. It has the Mopar 5x4.5 bolt pattern but I don't know what it is. Anybody?

Yes it does have an electric trunk release.

Cleaned up the seats and put them back in. They need redoing but they look a lot better than they did.

Emptied out the trunk and cleaned it up. Was an oily mess but all that oil kept it from rusting! Now I can officially say this car is 100% rust free!
