It's not factory. The factory trim is a complex shape cast in pot metal. If you don't have that part, this half-*** result is what you get with aftermarket generic trim.

Also would you put it in the oil? Not down the carb?

I dropped the pan 2 years ago and have done the oil changes since!

It’s probably coming up on a year old now but very little mileage done, changing it is on my list. I was planning to just poor a little in each cylinder rotate it over and sit over night, just syringe the rest out, change oil and filter and start it! You recon start it with it mixed in?

How old is the oil in the pan. Sounds like a sticky ring. I have a 49 Buick that had a sticky lifter. tap tap tap for 5 minutes till warm. I am 58 yrs old and done this in the past on many a stuck ring or lifter motor. Get the motor and oil up to operating temps. Drive it and get motor...
