    1972 Imperial Revival Thread

I will be trying the Bilsteins from Firm Feel. I have a new flex line, but I will see if it matches the length of the original first. Thanks for the tip.

    69 fury shocks

I definitely agree with KYB. However, the Amazon seller in your link is wrong on one count. For 1971 through 1973, Plymouth full-size and Chrysler full size, the correct shock is significantly longer. It's out of production and KYB buyer needs to go with a D150 shock for the same period. 1988...

Front End Rebuild - Firm Feel or any other options?

I think you're the forst person I've heard from who has actually driven a car with them. How do they ride other than "more modern feeling"? From my conversations with the Firm Feel rep I assume all the comments about riding like an ox cart are overstated? Did you put any of the other parts on my...

Front End Rebuild - Firm Feel or any other options?

...IMO it will degrade with use like any other spring. I put 1.12" in one of my Slabs and sometimes I wish I had the 1.06. With the 1.12 and the KYB shocks it drives much like a modern car, and some days I wish it was just a little softer. If I had a heavier Fusey, I would probably choose...

    1966 monaco rear shock suggestions

KYB is a good replacement. If your looking for a stiffer shock, Bilstein is the one to go with.

Good to know! No issues with applying it in a 69 or 70?

    69 fury shocks

I had KYB shocks on my 70 GT. They were decent. Rode on and did their job. I put Bilsteins on and they are a major improvement, IMHO.

I think that most will say either KYB od Bilstein shock. I cannot imagine how you would get a coil over spring in there.

    1968 NewYorker Shock absorbers

Maybe times have changed, but in my limited experience I've had much better luck with KYB shocks than Monroe. I've also heard Bilstein and Koni make a good shock. Maybe Gabriel?

    69 fury shocks

I have heard good things about the Bilsteins and heard they are a bit stiffer than the KYB's if I remember correctly. So it is is just a matter of taste I would think. I am very happy with my KYB gas adjust shocks but would like to ride in a C body with the Bilsteins and see what they are like.

    For Sale overload shocks

1971-1973 Plymouth Fury and 1970-1973 Chrysler full size had longer rear shocks than earlier models. (not true of Plymouth station wagons and 1970 Chrysler station wagons.) These 1970 Chrysler shocks should fit a 1973 Plymouth. KYB catalog

    Front Shocks

That is my VIN! He owned the car for 39 years! I would love to know something of the back story for this car! Were the concealed headlamps and hood installed at the repaint? I'd like to get the paint code for the color, but I was told he passed away. Thanks in advance for anything you can share...

Front End Rebuild - Firm Feel or any other options?

I'll try and hunt down your thread. How'd you like the rear sway bar? I decided to try the KYB shocks out before splurging for the Bilsteins. They certainly were a bear to install but handles great so far. I've heard mixed opinions on whether or not torsion bars can wear out. My bars are either...

    1970 Fury I stripper!

The gas tank is beyond hope so a new one is on the way. While I’m waiting I cleaned up the area above and around the tank with wire brushes, sand paper, etc and treated it to a good rust neutralizer and a coat of paint. Went ahead and ordered some KYB shocks while I was at it!

    1973 Imperial shocks.

I am a big fan of the KYB and have been enjoying them for four years and over 15k miles in total on Poppy (my 1970 Polara 'vert) and Medina (my 1971 Monaco coupe). However, @Ripinator found out, when changing shocks on his 1973 Navajo, that the KYB rear shock that works on most C-bodies does not...
