NOT MINE 1972 Plymouth Gran Fury 2dr in Nebraska(GY9, 360, 31k miles only, $23.5k ask)

I always liked the Keystone style much better than the Cragar S/S or Torque Thrust style. Good taste!

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

...fantastic! I have a 70 300 vert that I am wanting to put these wheels on. Do you know if there are any front hub issues with these wheels on a front drum design? Also would you mind sharing with me where you purchased your wheels from? Do you still have Lt & Rt hand lug nuts in the car...

    Correct Lug Nuts

1/2-20 is the correct thread, but those lug nuts are for a mag wheel and won't work with a Rally wheel. The base of the lug nut needs to be tapered like these. I don't see this vendor listing LH lugs like this, but I bought 7/16 LH lug nuts for an A body from them a couple years ago. If you...

    RALLY WHEEL LUG NUTS ?

...to a point like the originals. You only need the ones with the broader seat if you have old worn out rims. I've never come across a problem with lug nuts on ralley rims but I guess if they are rusty or worn badly there could be a problem. The ones on Ebay are the closest I've seen to the...

Dumb question: removing wheel covers, and right-hand lugs?

What year is your car? Your avatar pic shows a '73 which should have right hand lug nuts all the way around. Start with a small flat screwdriver to get the wheel cover off far enough to put a larger screwdriver or pry bar under the edge. Chrysler did left hand lug nuts because they tighten...

What did you get for your car this Christmas?

I wish, sets the torque on truck lug nuts without a torque wrench.

Meet Regina FQ3, a 1970 Polara convertible who turns 51 today

...nuts. Based on the assessment of @saforwardlook here (see also this thread here), I have ordered a set of 10 new reproduction L/H threaded lug nuts and a set of 10 R/H lug nuts from PG Classic. FYI: 1.25" length, 1/2-20 thread and 3/4 Hex. The price of the L/H nuts is almost twice that of the...

Dumb question: removing wheel covers, and right-hand lugs?

...on the car. Whether it's a right hand or a left hand wheel, the top of wheel nut is still forced forward. That brings you to left side lug nuts turning to the left and right side lug nuts turning to the right. Between encountering mechanics who didn't know that Chrysler did this and...

10 Left 10 Right Hand Thread 1/2-20 (CHROME) Lug Nuts for Mopar Dodge LH RH B C Body. ok i cant find these where can i get them ?

@Douglas -- I'll save you the hassle of using the search button to find the info on your own. Here's the bottom line in my book: @saforwardlook has owned and restored many (many!) C-bodies, and he recommends PG Classics...

    Correct Lug Nuts

The place I go for really correct lug nuts for rally wheels is PG Classic - and they claim they are the ones that had them remanufactured to match the ones Ma Mopar made that even have the correct dimples on top. I bought several sets of these a number of years ago for my Cuda with rally wheels...

    1973 Plymouth Fury

New lug nuts and the spare tire wing nut showed up from Mega Parts. Rotors and brake parts showed up from RockAuto. NOS tailpipe made it from AMS Obselete.

Will an electric impact wrench give satisfactory results vs air wrench?

I'm getting a 3/4" Milwaukee. Mainly because my son has a bunch of it and the packs run across the different tools. I need a 3/4" for the lug nuts on the truck. I have a 1" extended anvil impact for truck wheels but dragging those hoses out and then anything below 45° it seems to freeze the gun...

Mopar electrical weirdness. Temp gauge, Gas gauge, lights

I rejoice that you've solved the problem! Tightening loose nuts on that ammeter made a good connection, eliminating ONE source of jumpy current. GOOD! Later, I can tell you how to tie both of those leads together, and lug a nice fat #8 wire from the battery to them. Run the alternator...

Dumb question: removing wheel covers, and right-hand lugs?

Yes, it's a '73. So they got rid of that by then, eh? With decades of experience of lugs NOT loosening on countless other makes, it's odd that Chrysler would have tried the left-hand lug thing in the '60s. Plus, I mean, the stud itself is not rotating, the entire hub assembly is... I wouldn't...

    Driveshaft for '68 Fury (2-piece / bushing ?)

...besides being almost 60 years old has over 120,000 miles on it and is still fine. I don't think you could buy one new today. I think it's gone the way of the reverse threaded lug nuts. I would be interested in hearing more about these driveshafts since it seems to me they are hardly mentioned.

Will an electric impact wrench give satisfactory results vs air wrench?

Cordless is very powerful nowdays. You should be fine with a wrench. Most 3/8 are powerful enough for most car lug nuts. Don't get a driver they work great for light stuff. I sold Dewalt 1/2" that was capable of removing drive wheel nuts off a combine. Who needs a air or corded impact for car...

    Sticky sound

If no wheel covers (bet there isn't on this car), first thing is to check the lug nuts. Loose lug nuts can make a weird sound. Next would be wheel bearings.
