    which wiper motor to use?

Does your car have the wiring harness to connect to the motor? I've never seen a motor like that before. It's nice looking, but not what I thought a slab would have.

Are LED headlights a worthwhile upgrade?

...Use a small amount of signal current, to control a circuit that carries much larger current. Perfect for easing the strain on our old wiring harnesses. I think the 70s-80s was when manufacturers realised that it wasn't a good idea to run 55-60 watts of power up into the dash and back out so...

Wiring Harness for 1973 fury gran coupe.

...A/C items. Emission control items. Or is it being automatically condemned due to "age"? Seems like others have mentioned Evans Wiring Harnesses in the past? With the harness removed, it can be a prime time to clean and refurbish the bulkhead connector as needed. Repair terminals ARE...

    Wiring woes

...diagrams that may help, but the FSM diagrams always trump them. I suggest printing the diagram out, then take a highlighter to the wire or circuit. You should be able to buy a replacement harness. Evans Wiring Harnesses - Mopar Only That may save a lot of time and money in the long run.

68 Fury lll engine, headlight wiring harness.

Are the engine harness and the headlight harness two separate harness on a 68 Fury? Or are they all one harness? My Fury didn’t have any under hood harness when I bought it. So I’m trying to sort that out now. Thanks for any help.

    Welcome, RWCearley

Working on the dash wires. My brother owned the chrysler for many yrs. Apparently the fan switch failed during this time. So he spliced the wires and installed a separate switch. (Noticed that replacing the switch requires removing the instrument cluster.) I will restore this to origional...

What are you working on today??

Building a new wiring harness using bits from used harnesses and some NOS pieces. It has modifications including electronic ignition and changed alternator wiring but maintains a stock appearance.

    Dashboard Woes

Time to drag out the wiring harness board pic. I've repaired wiring harnesses by getting a piece of plywood and laying the old harness out. Then I outline it with marker and finishing nails. From there, once it's laid out, I start to remove the wrap carefully and then replace one wire at a...

    Electrical Short Issue

...I rewired my engine harness and found the Oil Pressure Switch wire and the Cold Temp Switch wires had been crossed at the firewall wiring harness block. Only after replacing both sensors did this issue appear as it sparked when I connected the Oil Pressure wire to the new switch. I suspect...

    Ammeter question

The “external shunt”? A section charge path wiring between two splices in the engine harness acts as the external shunt for the later externally shunted ammeters. It was not a serviceable part, having its own part number.

Wiring Harness for 1973 fury gran coupe.

It's not uncommon for such broken wires to exist in old harnesses such as in our cars. Have you got your FSM wiring diagram? Trace the broken wires back to their previous junction points, based on their colors, wire gauge and relative position in the harness. Then you can pretty accurately...

    65 dodge Monaco wire harness

If I had that problem I’d attack it two ways. First I’d find a service manual for my car. It will have wiring diagrams that include wire colors and wire gauge sizes. Second, in those years Plymouth and Dodge were essentially the same vehicle. Under the skin they shared everything. So I’d scour...

Refresher on Orange box 3 wire conversion - 12V conversion

I'm calling 'wiring' different from 'ignition'. For 'wiring', I'm going with a kwik wire kit since all bulbs and items are 6V. the wires are meh and the insulation is worse (being a 70 year old car). My goal its to get it running and wrench on more correct methods during the off season. (similar...

    Remote door lock retrofit?

I fitted my '71 Imperial with power door locks when it did not have that option. I did this with all stock parts and wiring. I did not add remote activation, though. I believe it could be possible to add some form of remote activation control to the power door switch harness in the driver's...
