YM43T1C123830 is painted GM8 indeed -- single year, single make color! Perfect spec IMHO except for H53. The good news, though, is that this is a 1971 and so it has AutoTempII which is readily fixable (unlike the tricky AutoTempI of 1969-1970).

This LeBaron is a rare GM8 "Sparkling Burgundy" which is an Imperial-only, one-year-only color. Other than the dash face, it seems in surprisingly good shape. Even the rim blow wheel seems intact. @nitoh owns one of those in Germany and may be interested.

Was there a thread about it? Would be grateful for a link. Looks like GM8 with paisley top and burgundy leather, a great combo.

I realized that the minute I had made the post. DR8 is a darker shade, with a slight hint of purple and quite a lot of brown in it. This Imp is really nice.

Doesn't appear to have the little winders to open the vents manually.

DR8 was gone in 1971. It’s either GE7 Burgundy or GM8 Sparkling Burgundy. The latter is a one-year-only color and rare — would be great to see the tag of this one. Note the mic and phone recorder on the transmission hump. Does anyone else see power vents?
