    AVS2 650 CFM on a 383-2, tuning help needed

What year is the engine? Does it have stock pistons? Definitely raise the idle speed. Don't block the heat crossover, it will cause you many problems with driveability.p, stumble bog. Watch this video below about the heat crossover, why a carbureted car needs it open and working and why a...

Started getting my 69 Newport ready for new paint.

Finally got back working on her this weekend. Floorboards are patched and we got the Challenger seats in. Still need to tweak them a bit, but I think they will work really well. New carpet will wait till after the car is painted. Picked up 2 replacement fenders. They need a little work but...

    My Unicorn, eh?

For D-P Dodge Monaco 500 and D-H Monaco, Show that the cemented in window had a different trim and was available, but seemed to share the same trim P/N's D-L Polara (No D-M Polara 500 in 66?) Has different trim numbers and does not mention cemented in Windows. Nor does it mention any...

    Another C body guy joins.

Hello to all. I am new to the FCBO forum so, in keeping with suggested procedures, I am here to introduce myself. I'm the relatively proud owner of a 65 Sport Fury that I paid way to much for thinking I'd just drive it like it was. That lasted about fifteen minutes until my perfectionist genes...

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Jumping + battery terminal to coil + didn't work. Ballast resistor supplied with kit is 1.7 ohms. Stock is 1.8 Earlier DC kits use a 1.25 resistor.

    My Unicorn, eh?

Looking at the 66 parts book. It seems it could have been a by factory thing. Weather strip 23-63-112, Rear window 23-64-314. Both styles were offered for Dodge, Plymouth and Newport. The windows are different part numbers. But there is no indication of when one or the other was used. The...

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

These questions were asked in the first three posts. I also posted a pic of my ground system. You can check there. Modules have been tested locally and are good. Battery terminals are clean. Instructions are the same as on the internet. I do have some suspect wiring, but battery is good.

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

With the vendor on the phone, I checked the pickup coil resistance, and it was well within specs. It also generated a signal when I spun it with the plug hooked up to the meter. It also generated a weak spark at the coil when the distributor was hooked up and spun. Until it didn't. I have...

Steering box blows a seal. Now what?

More likely it's a hose if it's leaking that much. Seals usually, but not always, tend to seep rather than dump fluid.

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Or possibly an 8 1/4 rear. But definitely not in an 8 3/4.

    My Unicorn, eh?

I don’t know 66 as well as 68, but in 68 2 dr was glued in and 4 doors had the seal. I found this when looking for a nonexistent gasket for my rear window. I learned from the parts book, comparing the rear windows in 68. In this case could it be a Canadian thing? I know @Polara_500_Jr has a...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

this looks like the "C" clip (retainer) from a 9.25. 8.75 uses nothing like this.

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

that Motive Gear C clip is not used in an 8 3/4 rear...in an 8 3/4 the bearing is pressed onto the axle shaft...those clips are used in the rears where you pull the rear end cover ,remove a pin and the clip goes into a groove cut around the end of the axle to hold the axle into the side gear of...

Steering box blows a seal. Now what?

Perform step 2 first, step 1 and 5 may not be necessary. I would THOUROGHLY clean the area and pinpoint the leak. Do use care as I have heard of fires if the PS fluid hits the exhaust manifold.
