    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Yes I tried looking through several different C-body cars and years and they just showed the US Standard Gear offerings. But it seems when you look up the bearings by part number, these are the total offerings by rock: BCA NBA7 Bearing & Race Set $34 NATIONAL A7 Bearing & Race Set $45 SKF BR7...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

How did you search? In the part-number search yea I can plug in "set7" and see the timken show up, but how do you search for bearings based on size or based on axle (8.75) ? What about this part (axle shaft retainer / clip) MOTIVE GEAR 3833322: Where does it go? No kits as far as I can...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Maybe I'm not seeing it, but rock doesn't show a variety of rear axle bearing choices like they do for the front wheels.

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Yea I agree with the Timken choice, it's hard to know these days where exactly they're made compared to years past. Regarding the axle do I have to worry about anything falling out on the inside or replacing something like a "button" or is that a thing only with a limited-slip diff (which mine...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

I note that rockauto sells "USA Standard Gear" USA10047 and USA10046 bearing kits for about $175 (for both sides). I wouldn't be considering the 10046 kit because it's a green (ball) bearing. Dr. Diff sells a kit that includes steel inner gasket, a choice of Timkin or Precision bearings, for...

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Maybe the leads coming from the reluctor coil to the ECU are swapped? Have you pulled a spark plug and had a look at what sort of spark is happening while your cranking?

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Maybe ECU has a bad ground connection. Did you check the timing with a timing light? See where it's firing?

Plug n play headlight harness upgrade

I bought a few of these from Digikey in the past year with the intent on using it for headlights, maybe also the power seat unit. Was about $5 each. Haven't actually mounted them yet. The integrated automotive-style fuse is what I think is useful here. Can use any heavy-gauge wire you want...

Summit Stock Spindle Drum-to-Disc Brake Conversion Kit

A reply in FB says this Summit kit is rebranded Leed Brakes kit (probably FC2003SM?) but at a pretty good discount. But aren't most of the parts off-the-shelf, except for the caliper mounting plate?

Summit Stock Spindle Drum-to-Disc Brake Conversion Kit

Is this a new product? Stock Spindle Drum-to-Disc Brake Conversion Kits SUM-BK-45054 ($775) I understand the rotor is from a 65-67 Mustang, and this setup is compatible with 14" wheels. A guy in a FB group says he put it on his '67 Monaco: Stock 65-67 mustang rotors will fit C-body...

1967 Plymouth Fury III voltage regulator

Yes, I think that the presence of 2 wire-wound resistors on the bottom of the regular indicates that it's electro-mechanical type, not electronic. Rock Auto regulators all seem to be electro-mechanical. But I think this one on ebay is electronic: https:// www. ebay. com/itm/373542320625...
