    NOT MINE 1970 Cop car

Very interesting. It has a radio, which we did not until the later 1980's. We also had Fords in 1970.

    Discover engine model. Help!!

I recently purchased a motor with the same casting number. Mine came from a D500 truck. They thought it was a 69 383. Mine is stamped 361 and has a date cast 11 of 74. Has the massive exhaust manifolds and water pump housing. From what I’ve seen it was also made into a 383 in 1970. If you...

    Pulling seized engine

Quick question, did you have to remove the hood? I pulled my engine and trans separate, and left the hood on, but needed the intake off to give some extra clearance to the hood and to get over the core support with the accessories on and the taller oil pan. I also left the trans crossmember in...

    ‘66 Fury hood / scoop options ??

Yea I got the same scoop but not as aggressive from unlimited products it's a company out here in California. You should check them out, here's the look I'm going for with my car something more subtle and natural looking I'm pulling my inspiration from this build here.

    SRT SEATS

I just put 2020 Challenger seats in my 69 Newport. The seats are more narrow than the original buckets. We didn't change a thing on the seat brackets. Just used existing holes for one side then drill new holes for the other, hooked up the power and done. Will need some tweaks when I start...

    Factory spare tire cover.

That's the pattern of the reproduction trunk mat I got for my Fury; they offer a spare tire cover in the same pattern, too.

NOT MINE 1971 NY FB 4dr U code

Texas DPS used Newport A38's in '79. Is it a former marked or unmarked unit? Too bad the New Yorker is so rough. In that color combo with all those options, it must have been quite the looker!

    AVS2 650 CFM on a 383-2, tuning help needed

Our '66 Newport 383 2bbl had no issues idling at 550rpm with the a/c om in gear. Sometimes, I might end up at 575rpm, but the factory specs worked well on that car. but that engine had the OEM 252/252.390 cam in it. Last year for it. The 256/260 cam after that.

I think it would be better to have more pictures especially: the engine bay, trunk interior, underneath, dash, etc.

    Stupid Key Question

Yes, if you copy a worn key, you end up with worn key cut depths on a new key blank. Not the best situation. Even if it worked well.

    AVS2 650 CFM on a 383-2, tuning help needed

It's a 1967 383. Stock pistons. Also come to think of it, I think I should've adjusted the idle speed while the car was in drive rather than park, because it definitely started struggling when I put it in gear.
