Meet Regina FQ3, a 1970 Polara convertible who turns 51 today

...today thanks to ESPO Springs 'n Things and the help of @71Polara383? Here are the links explaining my choice of springs -- I had planned on Eaton but ended up going with ESPO. PS: I think I see some rake that was not there before -- I know at least a couple folks who will be happy

...enough to allow for some "fixing up" expenses? What about the front ride height? NAPA still has replacement front coil springs in their catalog, fwiw. Salvage yard, Espy, or Eaton. Maybe even rockauto? Take your pick. Or even some Firestone air assist springs to get it level again? CBODY67

Photos of Vintage Auto Dealerships, Repair Shops, and Gas Stations

...Brothers... ON and ON, you can see how tangled it all got. Business and families and other strange bedfellows. Even in the modern era - Bob Eaton from GM to Chrysler, Lee Iaccoca from Ford to Chrysler, Bob Lutz worked at all the big three, etc. there were executive intermixing. THEN, add...

Leaf Spring Sag, 1970 Fury Convertible

I received them yesterday. They are bare metal, so I am going to get POR15 black. Agree with asymmetrical shackles.

An Exercise in 1974 Mopar Colors

...Find some sales brochures online which might give a better representation of the desired colors, rather than a paint website with small color chips to preuse, which might yield better results. Seems like many of those brochures can be found via the Detroit Eaton Spring catalog website? CBODY67

...nothing about rear ends (on cars, not women). As I go on the Dr. Diff website, what is the difference between the clutch-type SureGrip and the Eaton Tru-Trac differentials? Can I non-slip differential be converted to a non-slip by swapping parts in the same differential body? Or does the...

...the shipping, and it's supposed to take approximately 6 weeks to ship instead of 3 weeks in May. PS: Back when I ordered 6-leaf springs for Regina, I went for USPO over Eaton. Either company would have been fine, here's why I went with ESPO in the end. @carfreak6970 may find the links useful.

First year's worth of Dodge ownership

..."wanted back in", it seemed. So living in Vegas and being good friends with the stocholder, a plan was in the formulation stages. Bob Eaton got wind of this and crashed their "Donate to the cause" party being held in Vegas. And THAT proibably was the start of doing something to position...

The Van Lee Iacocca pitched to Ford before he joined Chrysler

Lutz and Eaton both had worked in Europe for many years and obviously had friends who were in Daimler, back then. As working associates and such. Lido's time at Ford (start to finish) was chronicled in his autobiography of the early 1980s. Quite interesting and a seldom-seen account of...

    Leaf springs

To me both Eaton and Espo would be just fine. Only: where do you find the correct (offset) ’65-’73 shackles? Eaton has some offset ones on their catalogue, but one would have to know the measurements to decide.

Weatherhead is the brand name. Eaton bought them out in 2002. The new stuff has been cheapened up, doesn’t look like the part I need for the resto.
