    Historical prototype 300 hood ornament

Very interesting! Forensic exam!! That ring/bezel thing in the last pic looks non-Mopar, as does the cloth insert, so I agree with you.

For Sale Parting out 1966 sport fury

Interior pics would really help - any toys for options like power seats, windows, and such? Also, I'm sorry to hear about the fire - I hope it wasn't your place, and that whomever's house it was, that everyone is safe.

    Historical prototype 300 hood ornament

Is there a casting # on that hood ornament? That might tell some more info - if it's an early enough number, I think that might possibly be the hood ornament for the scuttled 1966 300 Hemi M that was rumoured to be built in mid 1965... there was a sail panel M emblem as well that was around a...

    Ventshades

Glad to hear that so far, things are looking positive in the face of perceived challenges. I am about to reach out to the vendor through the contact info I was given. Before I do, can anyone who's purchased the ventshades update this thread as to the delivery or progress of their order?

Steve Magnante Looks At A Black 1968 Chrysler 300 Convertible

I didn't have time to watch and listen to the whole thread, but yes, lots of excellent trivia stuffed into his brain, and a few errors would be permissable! Admirable, for sure!

Steve Magnante Looks At A Black 1968 Chrysler 300 Convertible

Me too - he's had a rough go recently. Regardless, he said that power disc brakes were standard on the 68 300, and they were not, if I recall correctly.

67 sport fury hard top rear windshield gasket

I have an excellent low mileage 66 4 door sedan rear window gasket (with a window still in it!) but I don't think it would fit.

    1966 Polara

...and there you have it. Suspicion confirmed. 1966 Polara deck lid does NOT have the recessed area that will take 1966 Monaco tail lights.

    1966 Polara

Trying to make sure I understand your question correctly... The rear TAIL LIGHTS in a 1966 Polara or Monaco are interchangeable, but with some caveats... 1966 POLARA rear 1966 MONACO rear As far as I know, the Monaco outer tail lights will bolt into a Polara, and vice versa. The caveat...

68 Newport. Tightening up the steering

I revised my post - there shouldn't be too much play, so it's possible the internals are worn.

68 Newport. Tightening up the steering

I'm not so sure a shim in there would be a good idea - there needs to be some play in that a coupler by design. Regardless, the parts that are in there. Now could very well have worn out and the job to replace them there's not that particularly challenging, although getting it off the spline...

1966 Newport 383 2-Barrel – Exhaust Manifold Heat Riser Question

The weight is to be low when the valve inside is open. The thermo-spring pulls the weight up when it's cold, and relaxes when warm, so the weight drops (rotates actually, due to gravity), and in the process, the valve is opened inside the manifold. New heat riser parts are available here...
