NOT MINE 1968 Plymouth VIP 4-door hardtop, barn find, 34k miles, 318, Hamburg, Pennsylvania

Wasn't it true for a lot of these mopar cars, that a certain car came "standard" with power windows or am radio or power brakes or power steering, but at the dealership you could have any of those items knocked off for $10 or $150 so it made a farce out of the "standard" concept and pricing?

    Cheap Chinese laser welders.

They've really come down in price in 2 years then. Where are they made? If that much money is being funneled into youtube advertising, guess how much more we're paying at retail for those advertised products to cover that. I say that google's revenue stream goes straight to increasing the CPI...

    Cheap Chinese laser welders.

Some dude in Manitoba can afford a laser rust remover gun? Just how much do those things cost? Do they sell them at Princess Auto now? And does he really have a laser welder? Never seen one.

    Verizon outage today

This was being reported as of 1 pm today: Downdetector, the website that tracks real-time outages and service disruptions across the internet, reported moments ago that users of Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon Fios, and U.S. Cellular are experiencing disruptions and outages that began within...

NOT MINE 1968 Plymouth VIP 4-door hardtop, barn find, 34k miles, 318, Hamburg, Pennsylvania

PP43F8R222621 The comments on that site about the car are interesting. Some are dissing it for being a VIP yet has dealer-installed A/C, no PW and apparently is a radio delete. And to top it off - it has a 318. Talk about an odd bird for being a VIP. Current bid is $3200, I don't know when...

    Cheap Chinese laser welders.

I remember stumbling onto some videos a year ago showing those things in action, and I was sure they were fake, there's no way something like that could make perfect welds, I would have bet money they were AI video's. Yes it seems to me they are soldering irons not mig welders.

Do these shades mount to doors (or roofs?) without window frames? IE - '67 2-door fast-back cars?

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Yes I tried looking through several different C-body cars and years and they just showed the US Standard Gear offerings. But it seems when you look up the bearings by part number, these are the total offerings by rock: BCA NBA7 Bearing & Race Set $34 NATIONAL A7 Bearing & Race Set $45 SKF BR7...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

How did you search? In the part-number search yea I can plug in "set7" and see the timken show up, but how do you search for bearings based on size or based on axle (8.75) ? What about this part (axle shaft retainer / clip) MOTIVE GEAR 3833322: Where does it go? No kits as far as I can...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Maybe I'm not seeing it, but rock doesn't show a variety of rear axle bearing choices like they do for the front wheels.

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Yea I agree with the Timken choice, it's hard to know these days where exactly they're made compared to years past. Regarding the axle do I have to worry about anything falling out on the inside or replacing something like a "button" or is that a thing only with a limited-slip diff (which mine...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

I note that rockauto sells "USA Standard Gear" USA10047 and USA10046 bearing kits for about $175 (for both sides). I wouldn't be considering the 10046 kit because it's a green (ball) bearing. Dr. Diff sells a kit that includes steel inner gasket, a choice of Timkin or Precision bearings, for...

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Maybe the leads coming from the reluctor coil to the ECU are swapped? Have you pulled a spark plug and had a look at what sort of spark is happening while your cranking?
