New project: Allen Engine analyzers, restoration?

Also on the diagnostic machine I started checking pin connections from the engine harness back to the analyzer. I found when I stuck my amp meter probe in, one of the plug sockets would back out. I also found that one of the other sockets had a loose wire. Waiting for some new sockets and plug...

DIY: Rewiring the cigar lighter to only run in accessory mode

Unfortunately for me, the cigar lighter wire is crimped directly to the fuse holder terminal in the fuse box. Fortunately, it was easy enough to add a relay in, and have it activate when the key is turned to accessory mode. Stock cigar lighter socket, with a pink and red wire going into it. A...

    SOLD NOS Trailer wiring harness

...going to sell the harness because I don't think I'll ever use it. Haven't used it all the years I've had it. To buy them pieces wouldn't be worth it. If you want to sell cheaper maybe and I'll put the with the wiring harness. I'm going to Carlisle Pa in july for the Chrysler show. Thanks Paul

Upgrading the electrical system in our 67 Newport Custom

Check with Evans wiring. They had several harnesses for my 65 Polara. I bought the engine harness from them, and was very pleased with the quality and speed I got it. Swapping harnesses in a couple hours instead or rewiring for several days sounded much better for the minimal cost.

    1969 Imperial progress thread

It's not totally trashed, but it's not good enough for what I'm aiming for. The insulation is brittle is numerous places, mice chewed on a lot of wires and so on and so forth. I would introduce a lot of old problems into the new car when using the old harness! And I have to change most of the...

How crispy do you like it?

I recently removed and refurbished the wiring harness in my '68 300, including the engine harness and the dash harness. Some of the connectors looked okay but most of the wires and connectors had corrosion that required replacing. Based on the picture you posted of your ammeter, I wouldn't...

Mopar electrical weirdness. Temp gauge, Gas gauge, lights

Update: I fabricated new ground wires for the engine to firewall and negative cable and cleaned a ground cable I found in the headlight wiring harness. No change. Next, I conducted an in-vehicle test of the voltage limiter as found in the FSM using the temp sender. The VOM indicated fluctuating...

    Engine Harness Rework

Pulled the engine and front end lighting harness out of my '68 300. Every wire in the car seems to have been cut and taped back together. Luckily no evidence of a fire but it looked like a real possibility. The firewall connectors look good so that will be reused after being cleaned up...

1966 Sport Fury push button heater AC switch

While I don't have a link, there are videos on rebuilding the little plastic tubes that come out of the back. @Big_John may be able to help. Those AC switches were changed in 67, and an original replacement that will plug and play with your harness and vacuum hose routing will be hard to find...

Blower fan not working - is there a way to test the heater fan switch and confirm it's likely the blower motor?

My green wire came through the pass side floor board and went over to the fan motor. Unhooked the connector about midstream of the wire and applied power and fan runs. 1969

...paint on these wheels matches what's on the car very exactly. I don't question that all this car came from MaPar. I've seen FoMoCo wiring harness in my '66, for the engine compartment leading to the front lights. I might even still HAVE that tidbit.... I took as much off Mathilda's wreck...

    66 Monaco Wagon A/C Resurrection

@TxDon Can you explain specifically where the red and green wire go to once they leave drier/receiver. I think you said you added a switch that wasn't OEM so I'm not clear where those wires go/do when the original system didn't use that thermo-cycling switch. Thanks.

    1975 Imperial build thread

Are you desiring a normal 4-wire trailer connector or a 7-wire connector? Most of the modern trailer wiring harnesses have a connector that matches the factory rear light connector, so it's a plug'n'play situation. Prior ones had to be hard-wired from the vehicle's wiring harness, I suspect...
