Well when I looked up the weight online, i found a couple sites saying it weighs around 3500, and i have a 2500 stall converter, and the machinist...
where does that number come from? if the motor had 280 stock, with a cam, shaved heads, hot 4bbl and intake, and headers, it will make waaay more...

Hi, guys. I have a 66 383 2bbl motor that i have shaved heads for to get to 10:1 compression, a single plane weiand Team G intake, Holley 4150...
I would rather wear down the cam a few thousand miles sooner than have the slightest bit of valve float before redline. And is it really possible...
What valve springs would you guys reccommend? Here are the cam specs: Cam Style:Mechanical flat tappet Basic Operating RPM Range:2,400-6,600...

Aside from the heads that are ungodly expensive:stop:, it soumds like a plan, with the intake and the carb and cam I'm gonna assume around...
I read that a single plane would be the way to go because it give off more high-end hp. The 383 has enough torque to rip a building off it's...
And that should work well with the 650cfm, right?
Haha I'll try not to die. The new carb now is between 600 and 670cfm now so I think it should pair nicely with a decent cam and such

The car already has a holley 600cfm w/ vacuum secs. And a 68 roadrunner 4bbl intake, and electronic ignition. The carb just seems kinda weak...
