Well, it's probably not the case here,but...... a number of years ago I bought a '69 Charger that had the same treatment, but in black. Upon closer inspection, it turned out they just covered over a PERFECT interior with that crap, preserving it for eternity. :thumbsup:

Ok, the OP was talking about the exhaust pipe to manifold. You can use Remflex gaskets which seal very well, but have caused me issues in the past in that application as they require 20 lb. of torque so as to not over crush the gasket. With this low amount of torque, in that setting, the nuts...
