    Power steering box recommendation/opinions?

Firm Feel would be a bargain at twice the price. Why? You'll never have to think about that steering box again, and you won't be removing a leaking Cardone that you paid for, only to have to sent IT to Firm Feel to be fixed correctly, like you should have done in the first place. But you...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

I was watching the recent Graveyard S16/E15 (M-O-O-N Spells Orange) last night, and lo and behold Mark did a serious segment on the big variation of color and texture in all sorts of interior parts. He speaks about different dye lots, different vendors and different materials that show...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

Ahh yes. Good memory, John! I took about a zillion pics of that car at Mecum in 2019 AND posted them to that thread, so you think I would have remembered. Sheeesh!

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

When I grabbed those pics from my files, I thought that 'vert might have been your car because it sure wasn't a Hurst. I have more assorted interior pics showing assorted hues and shades, but ehhhh.....I get my own point. :stop: @Big_John (I used to have a brown shirt until Mrs. Big John...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

AFAIK it was very few, maybe 18 or so, but that's likely tribal knowledge and hearsay. When it comes to the Hurst, I do know that very few were ordered by a private buyer, thus very few had the options of cruise, headlight sentinel, console, clock, or chrome tips. It was already an expensive...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

Here's an assortment of interior pics that I've gathered over the years. Who knows which one shows "correct" colors?

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

Indeed, my door panels are not originals....no chrome trim like Big_John's picture. In fact, I added the "300" emblems and the pulls, otherwise they were VERY plain when I got the car in 2018. (pic below) My whole interior was redone in 1998 by the second owner by some upholstery shop in...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

As I recall, the SEM stuff sprays a bit thin, which is good. Multiple coats, etc. I used it for the BLACK door pulls that @70 Sport Suburban provided to me. As you can see, it's a better shade than the repro armrests from ABC Moparts!

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

The Hurst Gold was on the exterior, period, and it had NOTHING to do with any Chrysler color, period. Legend has it that it's Caddy Sauterne Mist, not even an Olds or Pontiac color. The Hurst interior was pure OEM Imperial Saddle, whatever that color might be. You might want to acquire one...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

I figure some of those nose-in-the-air pricks are FCBO members. Maybe a brave one will come forward to defend their miserably bad behavior (as group behavior, not as an individual like Al Moon) towards Hurst cars and their owners.

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

David, once upon a time the Chrysler 300 Club had repro stripe kits for the car, and I think for the wheels. As for that club, they absolutely HATE the Hurst car. Those SOBs wouldn't even TALK to me a Carlisle, three separate years. I had so many "history" questions that I thought they (of...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

Well, yes, exactly. Getting a good "thingy" is certainly an issue, as is the trial & error and the color match, etc. That's why I was so ecstatic to find a pair of these chrome versions at Carlisle:

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

Okay, let's get back to David's new Pride & Joy. Without a good "escutcheon" (look that one up!) to model from, how do you 3-D this thing? And for that matter, I've never seen a good, whole, unbroken "seat release thingy" on the 12-odd Hursts I've inspected. EDIT: 13 including David's! :poke:

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

Yeah, I was gonna comment on fury's comment, but I quickly realized he was talkin' 'bout Chrysler, not me. We can assume that the ad-copy folks got big money to use the right words and triple-checked the usage and spelling. "Their laughing at me because I made a bad flair on my break line to...

    413 Backfires

Let's hope this is your problem. Inadvertently switching 5 and 7--either at the plugs or at the cap--is a FAMOUSLY EASY tune up error with the Mopar 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 firing order. The engine will run a little rough but "almost okay" at idle and no load with these wires switched But because...

69 Chrysler 300 Rear Housing Removal

When I saw your question earlier this morning, I was going to give you a one-word answer: No. But I didn't want to sound like a prick, figuring someone else would chime it. As you can see from @david hill 's accurate instructions, the only thing he failed to mention is.......No. :poke...
