    Spark Plug Issue

Run the car down the road for a mile or two in a lower gear keeping the engine rpms around 2500 to 3000 then pull the offending plugs. If they're still black, you have a fuel distribution problem. If they've burned off he carbon fouling, your choke was most likely the culprit and you just...

The old stalling when put in gear syndrome

Still amazed at your analysis....well done. I dont disagree with the point on the size of the new AVS, and that may be true....not sure, but the OEM AFB was a bit smaller, and of course, designed for street work at low rpm and not performance......and the new stuff moves to performance. So...

    Formal Hubcaps on a Slab?

Yes sir! Thats what drew me to them. I can truly say I think these are the most beautiful Chrysler caps I’ve ever seen. Even cooler than the 61 Polara hubcaps. Funny enough, Lowrider guys LOVE Mopar hubcaps. They are on almost every “Bomb” in town. Namely Dodge Lancer hubcaps. Bombs are...

    Formal Hubcaps on a Slab?

I can't say whether they would fit or not, but they do give a wire wheel look, which is kind of traditional on lowriders, no?

    Dumping gas

The short answer? Most did it when new, even with the "real gas" we had back then. I know, Chryslers seemed to be the only corporation's cars that did that. Never did hear of it on Fords or GMs, back then. Just one of their quirks, it seems. Under the intake manifold is what looks like a...

NOT MINE 1957 Dodge Coronet Nice Clean Original Front Fenders, Hood & Upper Valance

As you can see by my photos, this is an original Front End that was removed from several 1957 Dodges many years ago that was brought back from out west. This 1957 Dodge Front Clip is fairly clean, straight & solid and is still in some of its factory paint. The front end consits of a Pair of...

rebuilt 301 vibrates at around 3k RPM or 40 mph

At the risk of making this easier to figure out.... And sometimes I think we can't have that... Does the engine vibrate at ~3000RPM in neutral, with the car sitting still? How about driving at 40MPH, does the vibration change when you put the car in neutral?

The old stalling when put in gear syndrome

It's not about air speed flow, at idle, it's more about volume. Ported is better for most engines, especially stock engines. Some people use it to band-aid an idle situation with a wilder cam, but then discover that they have an off-idle "lag" or "flat spot", which means their wilder cam needs...

    Dumping gas

Why does my 68 Fury 383 dump gas after shutting down? The smell is obvious and it’s done it ever since I owned it which is eight years now. I have an aftermarket 4 barrel carb. on it now for…. started out with the stock Carter two barrel, dumped gas with original and it’s still dumping gas...

    NOT MINE 1973 Polara 4dr hardtop (360, GF3 green, sold at $700)

I can't read it very well even with enlarging the picture. 507 SPD at Belvedere would be about 281XXX VIN A 300xxx VIN would need to be a late June or July SPD A 507 SPD at Newark would be in the 250xxx ish range. You'd have to go to a late July SPD to get to a 300xxx VIN at Newark.

The old stalling when put in gear syndrome

Exactamundo.....but how in the world does this help in this case....aargh. And further, the points made by CBody regarding the air jets and flow around a closed throttle plate....esp since now, with no added vac at idle, it means the throttles must be opened more to get the speed back up. I...
