There are pinion angle wedge kits that one can buy that are placed between the springs and perches to fix pinion angle issues too.

^^This^^ Do it right, and then just like it's done for adding rust treatments, drill some small holes from behind/underneath and spray in FF or Crown stuff.

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

If it runs and the interior is more than bare seat frames that is a good price. I should also say if it has a clear title too.

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

Ad says price reduced to $8900. Running, driving with what looks like a very nice interior is not the condition of a vehicle the OP is describing in the first post.

Not exactly slow now... The limiting factor with that type of car was getting the power to the pavement. They went down the track with the slicks smoking all the way. Many of those classes are gone now... I always liked that era because cars like this were built in home garages and there...

    Small block supercharger

I'm curious... What did you do to the engine to be able to use a supercharger? At minimum, the usual stuff is a forged crank and 8.0:1 compression with a forged piston. I'm not sure what trans and rear you have. I think it's probably a 904 with a 8 1/4" rear. If so, I'd say that 904 would...

way to stay on it 'til you found it. :) two, 6-71 blown Chevies, said to be 550 HP each, 3.90 gears, 1,900 lbs, 8.85 ET, 172 Mph, AA/modified class. what i can tell, in the era, that was pretty fast in 1961. 1961…The Gathering Storm! back to the babes/cars.

1972-73 IMPERIAL FOR SALE Tracker starting NOW into INFINITY.

Rare car. Triple black was 2% of the sales. Odd when it is one of the best looks on an Imperial.

    Engine rebuild

I was reading thru all these responses waiting to see if this got mentioned. A 5.2 Magnum does have some things that need changed to install it (timing cover/belt drive, special intake manifold) but that's a wash vs trying to add power into an old LA 318. The 5.2 is rated at 220-230hp, so that's...

You should bring the car to the Packard Proving Grounds out in Shelby Twp. this Sunday... 26th Annual All Mopar Car Show & Swap Meet - Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site Good Lord willing, I will be there, as will my son with our Lemons Rally Dart.

    Trans upgrade

IIRC, a GV is only a .82 overdrive, whereas most OEM units are around .7. So you either don't get as much RPM drop in OD on the highway, or you must use higher-# gears in the axle, which defeats some of the purpose of installing an OD. Due to the length it adds, you might get some bad driveline...
