Just a quick note to finish up this conversation.
The engine did have a 12-5-66 date on it and appears to have been rebuilt many years ago. The current owner didn't know anything about it other than it was given to him with a 66 Monaco that he bought for the original Monaco engine. The previous...
Thank you all. I was on the fence about blocking the crossover and this helped me make the decision. I will order a new pan and report back.
@david hill
I don't see any holes or cracks in the pan when I hold it up to a flashlight. Since I plan to replace the pan I am not going to worry too...
Thank you for the warning. I don´t feel any vibration when hit the brakes soft, hard or hardest. Actually my feeling is when I´mm pushing the pedal at 100%, it´s like the 60-70% stoping power.
I get the SSBC system in 2009-2010 or so, perhaps they were better than now.
Fair warning: You may learn that your SSBC rotors are a bit less round than advertised. I'm still working on a solution for that.
Expect these pads to grab hard and be able to lock the wheels up no problem.
They'll also make sure you are very aware if you have any worn out suspension bushings.
Good Afternoon
I installed one of the Fel-Pro valley pan with the blocked crossover on the 'Party Barge' for a couple of reasons. Hot restarts was one and it also saves scorching the paint of the intake manifold.
Word of caution, if you are using the original style choke thermostat (manifold...
Thank you man!!!
Yes, I have the 4 piston calipers, and after re-check all the system several times, the pads/disc friction coeficient was the only doubt I had.
I will try them.

Assuming you also have the 4 piston fixed calipers these are almost definitely what you want.
Its a night and day difference. I didn't know you could even have brake pads that bad before swapping them.
Good morning everyone,
I just wanted to introduce my new to me 1959 Dodge Coronet 2 dr HT. I started looking for this car when I saw the post on the "Bastardized Coronet" posted by Wetskier2000. Once I saw the grumpy front end and those amazing fins/tail lights I knew I was in love and I had...
Indeed, it would be nice to learn that. What country & who?
(Some Imps were imported to Finland, too, once in a while. Some years none, some years one. Sorry, I do not have records on those.)
Wish I could. Already got 4 wagons to deal with.
Pretty sure I'm only in the market for western clean metal, decent interior parts and NOS stuff from here on out.
Before starting pump the peddle up. Keeping foot on peddle start the car. The peddle should depress some if there is proper vacuum on the booster when the car starts.
is the 73NYer the one which had a painted bumper ?
IIRC I saw it once in Bremen a few years ago. Or was it at the Big Bumper Meet in Oldenburg ?
Carsten
Yes, Dennis is a very good Guy. We got together very well.
I saw much new parts and some very interesting Installations when it comes to fuel and ignition. I want to hide that wiresalad a bit better, but leave it as it is.
Only the steering needs to be changed. I have about 15 cm play in the...
