Those Mopar slant sixes were reliable engines, not surprised it is still popping away. Love those old wagons too. My dad had a 67 Dodge wagon with a slant 6, so fond memories.

Well, I removed the valve covers and used a coat hanger to check the oil return passages...but they were all clear. I cleaned up the valve covers and put some new gaskets up. I did notice that the passenger side valve cover (where I see the most blow by) was "bent" open and not level causing...

Today I removed the valve covers. Top end looks pretty dirty...not sure how often the oil was changed...but the car has been sitting for 48 years. I used a mallet to bang the valves and all moved/were free. I was also able to rotate all of the push rods. So I feel like the valve train is not...
